These shotshell carrier/rail systems mount via a “saddle” style method (Remington shotguns) or by using the drilled and tapped holes on top of the shotgun’s receiver. SureShell Aluminum Shotshell Carriers with Rail are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and use Mesa Tactical’s innovative rubber friction retention system to firmly and reliable hold shells in place until needed. Four, six and eight shell configurations and multiple rail lengths available. The Integrated Rail SureShell shotshell carrier design for the Benelli M2 Tactical, Benelli M4/M1014, Benelli SuperNova and Mossberg 500/590 platforms is radically different from the side mount designs. Instead of a stamped backing plate, the shell carrier yoke is attached to a machined bracket with an integral Picatinny (MIL-STD 1913) sight rail. The design allows the ShotShell assembly to be installed on the top of the shotgun by taking advantage of the factory tapped Picatinny (MIL-STD 1913) rail holes. With the Benelli shotguns, the shell carrier assembly is mounted directly onto the shotgun receiver. Then cut any potential overlap or interference off the end of the forend with a miter saw or a rotary arm saw for a perfect fit.

100 yr old Double-barrel. Fantastic condition fo the age. Butt and fore-end wood are perfect, no scratches or dings, still carrying the original varnish. 30" Barrels, a bit of wear showing, but nothing serious. Original blueing has aged to a decent patina. A couple of small dings on the barrel, due to sitting in a safe for many many years. Shoots beautifully and is a great gun for trap or gamebirds. I would no recommend letting off both barrels at once unless you know how to brace yourself properly. Breech is not fancy, with minor scrollwork. Historically, Fox rates as one of the better non-European shotguns from this era. Would consider trade for pre-1970 Winchester '94 in .30-.30.
