My favourite things about it: the trigger pull is easily adjustable without having to take the gun apart to fine tune to your preference, and the stock has a really nice feel. SN 13745, excellent overall. ​ History & Background Sullivan Forehand was an employee of Ethan Allen, the famous New England gunmaker. In 1860 he worked in an administrative capacity when he met his future wife - Allen's daughter - at work, and after marrying into the family became a partner in the business. Henry Wadsworth, an officer in the union army, met another of Allen's daughters while still in service during the war, and married into the family as well. Upon his discharge from the army, Wadsworth joined the company which was renamed "Ethan Allen & Co." After Allen's death in 1871, the two sons-in-law took over the firm and renamed it "Forehand & Wadsworth. They would become well known especially for their bulldogs, but also their many fine pocket and large-frame revolvers, single-shot deringers and pistols. Forehand & Wadsworth remained in business until 1890 when Henry Wadsworth retired and Sullivan renamed the company "Forehand Arms". After Sullivan's death in 1898 the company foundered and was taken over by Hopkins & Allen in 1902.

The action functions excellent in single and double action. Timing and lockup are good, lockup is rock solid. Bore and cylinder walls are very good . Exterior blue is intact. Original grips are in great shape with no cracks, lanyard ring is undamaged. The Model 1892 revolver (also known as the "Lebel revolver" and the "St. Etienne 8mm") is a French service revolver produced by Manufacture d'armes de Saint-Étienne as a replacement for the MAS 1873 revolver. It was the standard issue sidearm for officers in the French military during the First World War. The Modèle 1892 revolver is a solid frame revolver with the cylinder on a separate frame swinging right for manual reloading. The Modèle 1892 was first fielded in 1893 and was prominent among French military officers during First World War, and later the French police until the mid-1960s. A mechanically tight and very well finished handgun, the Modèle 1892 fires 8mm French Ordnance rounds also available online.

Frank Wesson Single-Shot Pistol, .32 RF Short/Long RARE Frank Wesson, elder brother to Daniel Baird Wesson of S&W fame was an accomplished gunmaker when Daniel was still a boy. The two younger Wessons would apprentice with their oldest brother Edwin, and learn much of their expertise from this talented and versatile master. Frank would move to California in the 1850's, probably lured by the opportunities presented by the gold rush, making and repairing guns for the local needs. By 1859 he had moved back to Worceater where he set up shop in his own name. Frank is best known for his fine rifles, "bicycle rifles", deringers and single-shot pistols. Frank Wesson never ventured into the revolver market until he had partnered with his nephew Gilbert Harrington to form Wesson & Harrington. The revolver making business continued to evolve as Wesson & Harrington first, and then Harrington & Richardson.​ This is Frank Wesson's "medium frame" single-shot pistol, chambered in .32 rim fire. It is in excellent condition, with original blue. The little lever on the bottom of the frame releases the barrel lock when the hammer is in the safety position, and the barrel snaps open as it should. It will not open if the hammer is down, or fully cocked. The bore of the3 5/8 inch barrel is excellent and bright, with sharp rifling. The rosewood grips are very fine. This is an early model of the first variant, of which only about 1000 were ever made. SN 54, excellent overall.

The action is strong and tight, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly. The bore of the 2 1/2 inch barrel is very good, with strong rifling. The rosewood grips are excellent and undamaged, with varnish intact. SN 289, very good overall. History & Background One of the most prolific makers in America was the firm of Hopkins & Allen. Founded in 1868 by the principals Charles Converse, Charles and Samuel Hopkins, and Charles Allen, the firm assumed the assets of the Bacon Manufacturing Company. H&A used Bacon's machinery and inventory of parts, and continued at first to make Bacon's various models before switching to cartridge revolvers and later rifles and shot guns. H&A was in business until 1915, and claimed to be the "largest manufacturers of high-grade, popular priced firearms in the world". Hopkins & Allen were well known for their pocket revolvers and Merwin & Hulbert branded large-frame revolvers. H&A are generally of a better quality and workmanship than other suicide specials.

This is self defence model with safety trigger/hammer designed for fast action and protection from accidental hammer cocking. This one looks like a little brother of S&W open top 44 Russian revolver (look at the last picture) This is an antique Harrington & Richardson 6-shot Automatic Ejecting Revolver, chambered in 6 shots of 32 H&R Long (a now obsolete black powder cartridge) but fully compatible with 32 S&W long/short. It is a 1st Model 2nd Variation. There is external ejector button on the underside of the barrel-frame hinge that can be used to manually return the ejector. Full serial number marked on underside of barrel top strap as 09626. Frame is marked with last four digits of serial number (9626) under the grips. Three digits of assembly number (487) marked on cylinder and extractor. Mechanically functions very good. Single action is not disabled and double action functions very well. Timing is strong, with minimal play on the chambers with the trigger fully depressed. Ejector and manual ejector button work perfectly. Barrel snaps shut strongly, and the cylinder release latch button also functions perfectly as designed. Bore has strong rifling all the way trough the barrel.

Sharps & Hankins "No. 3 C" Four-Barrel Pepperbox, .32 Caliber Rim Fire , SCARCE This one is a Sharps & Hankins four-barrel pepperbox classified as a "Model 3C". It is characterized by the button-type barrel release and ejector mounted between the barrels. It is chambered for the .32 rim fire cartridge. The gun is in excellent condition, with original blue intact and the case colors on the frame. The markings are sharp and clear. This is a unique variant with a floating, internal firing pin which rotates a quarter turn with each cocking of the hammer and these are rarely encountered. The 4 bores are good with strong rifling all the way. The black gutta percha grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 5822, excellent overall. Christian Sharps (1811-1874) was one of the best-known firearms designers and manufacturers of the 19th century. Although he never achieved the volumes of Colt, S&W and Remington, Christian Sharps was a major supplier of long arms to the Union during the civil war. His carbines are iconic among civil war collectors. Sharps sporting rifles were extremely popular at the time, and still fetch premium prices to this day. Christian Sharps had a rocky and sometimes acrimonious relationship with his managers and partners, and would leave the Hartford firm in 1853, returning to Philadelphia. There, he formed a new company in 1854, called C. Sharps & Co. He manufactured pepperboxes and single-shot pistols, while the Sharps Rifle Co. continued with long arms. In 1862, Christian Sharps formed "Sharps & Hankins", in partnership with William Hankins, who had sold his own plant to William Uhlinger. Sharps & Hankins would continue until 1866, producing their four-barrel pepperboxes, single shot pistols, and military grade long arms in competition with his former company in Hartford. Soon after the war, the partnership was dissolved, and Sharps would go back to his previous name of C. Sharps & Co. He continued to manufacture the four-barrel pepperboxes until 1874, when the firm was dissolved after his death.

Selling/trading an antique pinfire revolver. Overall it's in fair shape and will require work and parts to be functional. Antique status, no PAL required, just proof of age. Appears to be Belgian in 9mm Pinfire. 3" octagon barrel, 6 shot. Steel shows light pits and rust throughout. Grips are in nice shape. Indexes in both double and single action but the hammer doesn't always cock in double action (cylinder still rotates). Bore is in rough shape with no rifling left. Missing extraction rod, has play between the cylinder and frame. Would be best as a wall hanger or for parts. Looking for $350 shipped. Insurance by request on buyer. Open to all trades.
