The Mauser engineers, utilizing existing parts in stock, developed prototypes in October 1945. These prototypes incorporated a combination of the single-shot Mauser KKW mechanism and the magazine/magazine well of the Mauser Model 37 (also known as Mm 510). Between December 1945 and the end of June 1946, approximately 10,000 to 15,000 "Mauser 45" units were manufactured. While some were crafted from existing KKW components (with the distinctive Mauser 45 stock), the majority were newly produced. Under Soviet pressure, the French were compelled to dismantle the factory in Oberndorf, relocating parts to St-Etienne. The production of Mauser/MAS, utilizing German parts in France, likely commenced towards the conclusion of 1947. These bear serial numbers prefixed with an “F” up until the end of production, with an estimated 3,000 units produced. Post-serial number F 3000/F 3100, carbines were entirely fashioned from French components, and the Mauser marking ceased. By the end of production in 1965 or slightly later, serial numbers had advanced to F 33000. In the early 1950s, A limited quantity of Mas 45 units was dispatched to Israel in response to the Israeli military's request for troop training purposes.

For sale is a beautiful Swedish M96 rifle . It was made in 1900 which is 123 years ago and still in excellent condition even with today's standard. This rifle is a true gem, with most of the parts matching their original numbers, showcasing its authenticity and history. Numbers matching: bolt, receiver, band, floor plate, butt plate etc. The blue finish is pristine, and the wood stock is in perfect condition, free from any cracks or dings. Here's a pretty rare one for you. It's a Shiloh 1863 Sharps infantry rifle made in the early days when Shiloh was in Farmingdale NY. They don't make this model anymore. The fellow I bought it from purchased it in the late 70s, and said he never did anything more than hold it from time to time and oil it well. It is a .54 caliber with a 30" blued barrel and adjustable ladder sight marked up to 800 yds. The stock is a nice nice piece of walnut with 13 3/4" length of pull and a case coloured steel patchbox. The case colouring on the metal parts is amazing, with some really beautiful colours and patterns shining through. The rifle comes with an adjustable leather sling and some bullets with paper cartridges. Also included is an Eras Gone custom ringtail Sharps bullet mold. This mold was designed for the utmost accuracy with these rifles, and the bullets can be used with loose powder, or with cardboard tubes or traditional paper cartridges tied/glued to the bullet. I also have about 160 musket caps and Swiss 1.5fg powder I can include for local pick up. It is in pristine unfired condition. The only minor issue is a small dent in the forestock which I've included a picture of. I would like $3500 or best offer with local pick up or shipping on the buyer's dime.
