British Pattern 1853 socket bayonet with leather scabbard and a frog This is a British M1853 Socket Bayonet for use with the Enfield, Snider, Martini rifles. This 1853 pattern was the standard bayonet carried by nearly every British infantryman of the mid-19th century and widely used during the Crimean War, Indian Mutiny, and in numerous colonial campaigns. Production of the1853 pattern socket bayonet continued throughout the life of the Enfield Muzzleloader and the Snider rifle and was finally terminated in 1875. The blade has a slight downward curve to allow easier reloading while fixed to the muzzle-loading Enfield rifle. Measuring 44 cm (17 inches), it features a triangular cross-section with fullers on all three sides, tapering to a narrow, down-turned point. Scabbard in good condition and includes a leather frog. The brass tip on the scabbard wiggles a bit but is still solidly attached. The scabbard is stamped W.D. (War Department) below the frog stud with the Broad Arrow symbol above the initials. The top of the blade at the base is stamped with an E over a crown over the number 25 Overall Length – with blade in scabbard - 21 3/4” Length of Bayonet – 20 5/8” Length of Grip including the Guard – 3 5/8” Blade Length – 17” $175.00 Thanks, Phil

Smith & Wesson 44New Model No. 3 Top Break, .44 Russian Revolver. This one is in perfect condition with the finish intact. The serial numbers match . The action is strong and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play. The bore of the 5-inch barrel is quite good and bright, with strong and sharp rifling. Mechanically in excellent condition with proper timing and lockup. The latch is also solid with zero play. Extractor works as it should. The black plastic grips are excellent and undamaged SN 3363, perfect overall. History & Background Smith and Wesson's first double action design dates back to at least 1872 - years before Colt ever attempted a double action cartridge revolver. It was mentioned in a letter to the Russian envoy General Orlof, and although the sale to Russia never materialized, it served to pave the way for the very popular and successful line of double action top break revolvers. The .44 Russian model was actually the first to be produced as a prototype, and the last to be released for sale to the public. For this reason there exists a degree of confusion over the proper terminology: the first one to be manufactured for sale was the .38 caliber model, followed by the .32. The .44 caliber model was not released until 1881, and is variably known as the No. 3 Double Action, the Double Action "Navy" (a name Daniel Wesson wanted to keep alive to differentiate this model from the No. 3 single action, and still holding out hope to sell it to the Russian navy), and the First Model Double Action. Originally, the .44 Double Action was made with a 1 7/16 inch cylinder, however an optional .44-40 version was available as of 1886. This required a 1 9/16 inch cylinder, and a longer frame. The firm soon realized that it was too expensive and cumbersome to manufacture two different sizes of frames for what was essentially the same gun, and the shorter cylinder and frame were dropped in faivour of the longer one in the early 1890's. The No. 3 frame .44 double action top breaks were dropped from the Smith and Wesson catalogue in 1913.

Iver Johnson "American Bull Dog", .38 RF short and long Revolver Iver Johnson was one of the most prolific makers of pocket revolvers in America, from 1871 to nearly the present. One of the earliest makers of bulldog-type, double action revolvers, the Iver Johnson American Bull Dog is well known and in demand. These were made by Johnson's and the relief grip showing the American eagle on a shield is typical of Johnson's ware. ​ This one is in very fine to excellent condition, with 99% original nickel. The action is accurate and strong, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play. The bore of the 2 1/2-inch barrel is good with strong rifling throughout. The black hard-rubber grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 2407, excellent overall. History & Background Iver Johnson (1841-1895) was a Norwegian gunsmith who came from Bergen to America in 1863. He found work immediately at Ethan Allen's factory in Worcester, Mass. where he met Martin Bye. Johnson worked at Allen's through the civil war years, as demand for firearms was high, and work was plentiful. By 1871 Johnson and Bye had decided to venture out on their own and founded Johnson Bye & Co. in Worcester, moving to Fitchburg by 1891. In 1883 Martin Bye left the company, selling his interest to Iver. The company name was changed to its most famous form, "Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works, Fitchburg, Mass.", a name it would retain until the outbreak of the First World War. Iver Johnson did not only produce a large variety of firearms, they were also famous for their excellent quality bicycles and motorcycles. The company would remain in business until 1993. The name was "revived" in 2006 and the brand is still used today.

(available for sale online). but still can shoot original 11mm ammo. It is very interesting example of 1873 French Service Revolver that was converted to 45ACP / .455 Webley caliber which was readily available during WW2 and was considerably more powerful than original and hard to find 11mm ammo. This one is in excellent original condition, all the markings are sharp and complete. The serial numbers are repeated on all components: the barrel, cylinder, frame, grips, internal mechanism parts and even the screw heads and escutcheons. Everything matches. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is as perfect and it is mirror bright and the rifling is sharp. The action is excellent and accurate and very smooth, the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play. The walnut grips are excellent and show no damage this one looks like new. SN J24391, this one is made in 1885, rated excellent overall. MAS Mle 1873 French Service Revolver, 11mm French Ordnance The Mle 1873 was France's first double action cartridge revolver. After the disastrous loss to Prussia in the war of 1870, the French military closely examined its armaments and small arms, and they came to the conclusion that a new, more rugged and powerful side arm for their infantry was required. The result was the Mle 1873, designed by the famous partners of Chamelot & Delvigne, whose genius ideas would dominate much of the European military (and commercial) small arms market for decades to come. Many European countries adopted their designs, including Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, Russia and Belgium. Only the Brits and Germans would continue to develop their own side arms.

Colt M1889 "Navy" Double Action Revolver, .41 Long Colt, SCARCE 3-Inch Barrel​ This model is a marked departure from previous Colt revolver designs, and would be produced in a few variants from 1889 until 1907, with some 330,000 made. Many were sold to the US military. It has a counter-clockwise rotating cylinder with locking slots on the back. This one is in very fine condition with a scarce 3-inch barrel. It retains 100% of the nickel. Excellent, sharp markings, matching assembly numbers on all parts. Nice nitre-blue on the hammer and trigger. The action is crisp and strong, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play on trigger pull. The bore is very fine and bright, with sharp rifling. The grips are very fine with no wear . SN 25842. History & Background This model is an important milestone in Colt handgun development, as it is the first American revolver with a swing-out cylinder mounted on a crane, a development which would become the standard for modern revolvers to this day. The markings are sharp and defined throughout. The assembly numbers on the cylinder, crane and frame. Forehand & Wadsworth "British Bulldog" 44 Russian / 44 CF Revolver This "British Bulldog" is was optimized for fast, smooth double action and self defense, single action can be also used but not recommended to avoid unnecessary stress on the sprigs. The markings are sharp, and the action is accurate. The loading gate on this one are quite unique and is locking by magnet instead of regular spring. The cylinder indexes and locks up properly. The bore of the 2.5 inch barrel is fine with sharp rifling. Matching serial numbers on the frame and cylinder. The black original grips are excellent and undamaged showing no wear at all. SN 27379, very fine overall.​ History & Background Sullivan Forehand was an employee of Ethan Allen, the famous New England gunmaker. In 1860 he worked in an administrative capacity when he met his future wife - Allen's daughter - at work, and after marrying into the family became a partner in the business. Henry Wadsworth, an officer in the union army, met another of Allen's daughters while still in service during the war, and married into the family as well. Upon his discharge from the army, Wadsworth joined the company which was renamed "Ethan Allen & Co." After Allen's death in 1871, the two sons-in-law took over the firm and renamed it "Forehand & Wadsworth. They would become well known especially for their bulldogs, but also their many fine pocket and large-frame revolvers, single-shot deringers and pistols. Forehand & Wadsworth remained in business until 1890 when Henry Wadsworth retired and Sullivan renamed the company "Forehand Arms". After Sullivan's death in 1898 the company foundered and was taken over by Hopkins & Allen in 1902. ​

French Model 1892 Service Revolver in 8mm lebel caliber, 4.5" barrel, 6 shot. Very well built and robust . Fiocchi manufacturers modern 8mm ammo as well. The action functions excellent in single and double action. Timing and lockup are good with no play on trigger pull. Bore and cylinder walls are very good . Exterior is 100% . Walnut wooden Grips are in perfect condition, lanyard ring is undamaged. Barrel stamped as S1898 but actually Made in 1897 according to S/N G16404 and it is still have antique status which make it very rare hard to find example. The Model 1892 revolver (also known as the "Lebel revolver" and the "St. Etienne 8mm") is a French service revolver produced by Manufacture d'armes de Saint-Étienne as a replacement for the MAS 1873 revolver. It was the standard issue sidearm for officers in the French military during the First World War. The Modèle 1892 revolver is a solid frame revolver with the cylinder on a separate frame swinging right for manual reloading. The Modèle 1892 was first fielded in 1893 and was prominent among French military officers during First World War, and later the French police until the mid-1960s.

  I am downsizing my antique gun and militaria collection to move into a much smaller house with a much smaller gunroom.......offering an original 1880's Mills pattern , woven ammo belt with a rare 1881 Patent Mills/Orndorff brass " OLD RELIABLE " buckle and retainer. The loops hold .40 to .45 caliber rounds and included are twenty .44-90 Sharps bottleneck cartridges. Please view the photos closely as the belt has been well used and has some damaged loops and earlier field repairs.....I have always refrained from doing any repairs or "enhancements" to my original antiques as the wear and tear is a natural part of its history and character. The cartridges are not original but are repro brass which was purchased about 45 years ago and which I loaded with black powder and some very old primers which were purchased about 50 years ago ( used for display purposes only ). The belt and attached buckle were purchased by me in 1967 at an Ohio gun show. The brass buckle has that beautiful patina which only time can create and it does have a few dents from honest wear and tear.....contact me if you interested and need more photos, or different angles, as the website only allows 10 photos.
