I’m definitely on the fence about this one, I have a Left Handed Browning medallion Xbolt in 30-06. I bought it used. I haven’t sighted it in a shot a few rounds through it but that’s about it. As for the condition, it’s definitely seen some use, it’s the way I got it when I bought it. I’ll probably give it a 7/10. The only reason why I’m considering selling is I have another rifle project, im looking to fund. The downside of selling this is I also have a shit ton of ammo for it so I’m still on the fence not to mention, Good luck trying to find a left-handed rifle these days. Up for sale is a Winchester model 70 called " The Westerner " . The rifle  is actually engraved from the factory "The Westerner".   I have done research and can't seem to find anything out about what why these were made or what it meant. They seem to be extremely hard to come by.  This rifle is in excellent shape and has seen hardly any use. It's in easy to get ammo .243. It has a very smooth action and has a blind 5 round mag that opens from the bottom to empty out.  The wood is beautiful  with some marks. I have taken some pictures to show it.  It comes with the rings , bases and a Simmons 3x9x40  scope mounted and sighted but should be fined tuned to your preference.  From my research the " Westerner " rifles are fitted with a 2 inch longer barrel, scroll work done on the receiver, checkering done in the stock . Not pressed checkering , actual checkering. A different lighter colored wood, then the usual dark wood stock of Winchester. I do not want to get messages that this is a low end $ 700 Winchester as that is not the case. You will be ignored with EXTREME PREJUDICE! I'm allergic to STUPID, and I break out in SARCASM. So you have been warned. The asking price is $1500 + shipping obo. The pictures don't do this rifle justice as she really I a beautiful rifle.  You can try trades. Looking for a pump or semi action shotgun for hunting  that does 3inch plus shells.  Also looking for a Remington model 700 in .270 or 30.06, with a detachable magazine system. This is a 1940 Ishapore made No 1 MK111 ( not a MK111*) with mag cutoff and period correct RFI stamped bayonet. The hardware and wood set is good to excellent condition ( for an 84 year old rifle) and as far as I can tell, completely original from the factory. Bolt, receiver, Barrel, rear sight and nose cap are all matching numbers. The magazine isn't matching numbers but is RFI stamped. The bayonet is the short 12 inch "Indian Pattern" which I believe is a 1943 made bayonet. There are some visible repairs to the butt stock, maybe field repairs or post military use - I don't know. I can't make out the markings on the underside of the butt stock but it doesn't appear to be English or Latin script, possibly Punjabi, Bengali or Burmese. The barrel is probably nearing the end of it's life but I have taken this rifle to the range numerous times and it shoots fine with pretty good accuracy at 100 yards. I didn't really want to sell this one as it's a great historical piece, but I need to reduce the amount of Rifles and spare parts I have. Selling as i have less time to shoot rifles and this one deserves to go to someone who will shoot it. I know there is varying reviews on these conversions. My understanding is most (possibly all) were done by century arms and some cycled and some did not. Do your own research please. This one has cycled 125rds of the lake city ammo for me and I don't recall any failures. Both mags did work. Can't guarantee any other ammo as I only tried the one. At the time I acquired this rifle the original scopes were either unavailable or very expensive. I found the vomz played the part. The front is attached with an original ring and a bushing. The back I had to make a scope ring to clamp the back in place. It's machined aluminum painted black. There is just enough room to slide the scope on and off its rail without having to remove the scope from the mount. Beautiful 5.56 boxer primed, unprimed brass, long nosed M-200A1 specification, with carefully annealed cases, handstamp LB (Longbranch) only - no date stamp- from an New Zealand Army blank training contract for their Steyr Aug Copied rifles and produced by Caina-Longbranch in 1999. They are as nice as the day they rolled off the factory production line after being visually hand inspected on light tables. Can be loaded for training or for movie work with the right powder. Crimping the blank case mouth for training or movies will take a special die. Again, these are proper long noses M-200A1 cases that when crimped approximate the full cartridge length and not the shorter M-200 cases that are also harder to feed reliably due to their shorter non full profile cartridge length going from magazine into chamber.
