This model has a checkered walnut stock/forend (w/ Ruger's red rocoil pad), and blued metal (action/barrel). It has built-in iron sights, and comes with a set of 1" rings (steel) for mounting a scope. In addition, the receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope side-mount. It also has sling swivel studs, and comes with a beautiful leather sling. This rifle has a top-tang safety. It is in excellent condition, with low round count (the bore is shiny with strong rifling). Bluing is in excellent shape throughout with very few, if any notable imperfections. Wood stocks are also in excellent shape throughout. Scope mounting was done by world renowned gunsmith Martin Hagn. Comes with 2 scopes both with claw mounts - a Hensoldt Wetzlar Diasta-D 4x32 with #1 reticle and matching leather case as well as a Zeiss Diatel 6x42 T* with #4 reticle. Winchester Model 1894 38-55 Ref #1040 This Winchester is a lever action, sporting rifle, octagon barrel, full mag. Dated 1895 Stock is very good – good. Small tang crack 1” long, and a minor chip gone at tang. Forearm has an app. 2” crack and a few very minor cracks. The stock has typical bang marks. Finish appears original or period correct. Original metal recoil pad fits well. Barrel is 26” long with sights intact, rear sight may have been replaced at one time, again period correct. Bore has black powder corrosion but it’s clean now and has rifling top to bottom. Bluing appears original and app. 75-85% throughout. There are bumps and scratches on metal and evidence of minor surface rusting. Screws have been used, but in very good shape. The lever functions well, safety checks out and the trigger pull, and drop are good. Firing pin is evident and protrudes when pushed on. Ejector is intact and tight, and magazine follower functions correctly. Overall, I grade this firearm as very good and should be fully functional. I did not test with snap caps or fire. Only reasonable offers are considered. Low ball offers will not be responded to. Trades in person only. The firearms and accessories I sell may be new or used and are usually acquired through estate liquidations. I visually inspect them and check basic operation only and share what I know or find in the description and photos. They are not live test fired. I provide full disclosure on what I find but can not be held responsible for what I may miss. It is a reproduction of the extremely rare Remington Rider Single Shot Derringer pistol of which only about 200 were produced 1860–1863. Small pistols suitable for indoor practice were called parlor pistols. The pistol is of steel construction, available with polished white or case hardened finish. Like the original, the pistol fires a .17″ (4.5mm) ball or pellet using only a percussion cap and no powder charge needed but can be added for different power levels.
