Samozaryadny Karabin Simonova Russian manufactured 7.62×39 caliber carbine. This version was produced at the Tula factory (arrow in star factory symbol) in 1954. This rifle is in excellent shape with the rifling in great condition. Just minor handling/storage blemishes. I have not fired the rifle and I have no way of confirming its history, but it looks to be in great condition. Numbers matching with the exception of the missing wooden stock (which I do not have possession). Comes with The Archangel SKS tactical stock upgrade. Selling/trading an Israeli K98 in 7.62x51 (.308). Overall it's in nice shape. Dated 1937, S/237 receiver code, Nazi marks peened on the left side of the receiver but are still very legible on the right hand side. Steel is in nice shape, shows in a clean patina colour. Wood stocks are in good shape, normal marks and scuffs, a few small symbols marked on the right side of the stock. Bore is very nice, bright and crisp. Overall a very solid rifle. Selling as i have less time to shoot rifles and this one deserves to go to someone who will shoot it. I know there is varying reviews on these conversions. My understanding is most (possibly all) were done by century arms and some cycled and some did not. Do your own research please. This one has cycled 125rds of the lake city ammo for me and I don't recall any failures. Both mags did work. Can't guarantee any other ammo as I only tried the one. At the time I acquired this rifle the original scopes were either unavailable or very expensive. I found the vomz played the part. The front is attached with an original ring and a bushing. The back I had to make a scope ring to clamp the back in place. It's machined aluminum painted black. There is just enough room to slide the scope on and off its rail without having to remove the scope from the mount.
