The word Paragon means, “a model of excellence”. And this is true of this optic series. I see the Paragon as being the technological descendant of the old Bellorussian PK-AS sight, a one power prism sight that through innovative use of lenses, seems to have a nearly non existent edge when you look through it. Thick opaque edges serve only to limit situational awareness. Competing brands and their prism sights are a miss due to large knobs… they are “good enough”. But the nearly invisible edge of the PK-AS and later on the Paragon discarded the idea that “good enough” was actually “good enough” in regards to situational awareness. Unlike the PK-AS, the Paragon is designed to be small and light. Selling/trading a Browning Superposed 12 gauge over under. Overall it's in nice shape. This is a pre-war gun made somewhere between 1931 an 1939 (SN 10###). 30" barrels with solid rib, 2 3/4" chambers, fixed chokes (not marked), ejectors, single trigger with safety on the tang not operable but a safety on the underside of the trigger that slides forward and back - this was a factory option that many guns were retrofitted with after 1937. Receiver was factory colour case hardened - the vast majority of which has faded but is still present on the underside of the release lever and on the inside of the action when the barrels are removed. Bluing on the barrels show very well with only light spots of fading here and there. Receiver has nice factory scroll work throughout. Straight English style stock. Wood is all in good shape, normal marks here and there. Has a hairline on the left side of the forestock which doesn't appear to be through the wood. The heel of the butt stock has a chunk out of it and a chip in the butt plate in the same spot. Lockup is tight, bores are in nice shape throughout. Overall a very nice shotgun. Up for sale is a Winchester model 70 called " The Westerner " . The rifle  is actually engraved from the factory "The Westerner".   I have done research and can't seem to find anything out about what why these were made or what it meant. They seem to be extremely hard to come by.  This rifle is in excellent shape and has seen hardly any use. It's in easy to get ammo .243. It has a very smooth action and has a blind 5 round mag that opens from the bottom to empty out.  The wood is beautiful  with some marks. I have taken some pictures to show it.  It comes with the rings , bases and a Simmons 3x9x40  scope mounted and sighted but should be fined tuned to your preference.  From my research the " Westerner " rifles are fitted with a 2 inch longer barrel, scroll work done on the receiver, checkering done in the stock . Not pressed checkering , actual checkering. A different lighter colored wood, then the usual dark wood stock of Winchester. I do not want to get messages that this is a low end $ 700 Winchester as that is not the case. You will be ignored with EXTREME PREJUDICE! I'm allergic to STUPID, and I break out in SARCASM. So you have been warned. The asking price is $1500 + shipping obo. The pictures don't do this rifle justice as she really I a beautiful rifle.  You can try trades. Looking for a pump or semi action shotgun for hunting  that does 3inch plus shells.  Also looking for a Remington model 700 in .270 or 30.06, with a detachable magazine system. Winchester Model 1895 30-40 Krag Ref #1047 This Winchester is a lever action, sporting rifle, round barrel, shotgun style rear stock. Dated 1903. Stock is in good shape, forend has a few chips missing next to metal, the rear stock is excellent, finish is period correct. Original metal recoil pad fits well. Barrel is 28” long with period sights intact. Bore is nice and clean with minimal to no corrosion, excellent rifling top to bottom. Bluing appears original and app. 20% throughout. There are very few minor scratches on metal. Screws are mostly unused, one does appear to have seen a screwdriver but is in very good shape. The lever functions well, safety checks out and the trigger pull, and drop are good. Firing pin is evident. Ejector is intact and tight, and magazine follower is correct. Overall, I grade this firearm as very good and should be fully functional. I did not test with snap caps or fire. Only reasonable offers are considered. Low ball offers will not be responded to. Trades in person only. The firearms and accessories I sell may be new or used and are usually acquired through estate liquidations. I visually inspect them and check basic operation only and share what I know or find in the description and photos. They are not live test fired. These shotshell carrier/rail systems mount via a “saddle” style method (Remington shotguns) or by using the drilled and tapped holes on top of the shotgun’s receiver. SureShell Aluminum Shotshell Carriers with Rail are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and use Mesa Tactical’s innovative rubber friction retention system to firmly and reliable hold shells in place until needed.
