It is characterized by the button-type barrel release and ejector mounted between the barrels. It is chambered for the .32 rim fire cartridge. The gun is in excellent condition, with original blue intact and the case colors on the frame. The markings are sharp and clear. This is a unique variant with a floating, internal firing pin which rotates a quarter turn with each cocking of the hammer and these are rarely encountered. The 4 bores are good with strong rifling all the way. The black gutta percha grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 5822, excellent overall. Christian Sharps (1811-1874) was one of the best-known firearms designers and manufacturers of the 19th century. Although he never achieved the volumes of Colt, S&W and Remington, Christian Sharps was a major supplier of long arms to the Union during the civil war. His carbines are iconic among civil war collectors. Sharps sporting rifles were extremely popular at the time, and still fetch premium prices to this day. Christian Sharps had a rocky and sometimes acrimonious relationship with his managers and partners, and would leave the Hartford firm in 1853, returning to Philadelphia. There, he formed a new company in 1854, called C. Sharps & Co. He manufactured pepperboxes and single-shot pistols, while the Sharps Rifle Co. continued with long arms. In 1862, Christian Sharps formed "Sharps & Hankins", in partnership with William Hankins, who had sold his own plant to William Uhlinger. Sharps & Hankins would continue until 1866, producing their four-barrel pepperboxes, single shot pistols, and military grade long arms in competition with his former company in Hartford. Soon after the war, the partnership was dissolved, and Sharps would go back to his previous name of C. Sharps & Co. He continued to manufacture the four-barrel pepperboxes until 1874, when the firm was dissolved after his death.

Want a new optic, and want to buy Canadian? There's a new option for Canadian glass, sort of: Apex Optics is based in Calgary, but its scopes are actually manufactured in Japan. Apex Optics was founded in early 2020 by a group of western shooters from a range of competitive disciplines. Their goal was to create a new optics brand for competition and long-range shooting reflecting their backgrounds (IPSC, Steel Challenge, 3-Gun, Precision Rimfire, Extreme Long Range, etc.). Several of these shooters are well-known in the west's shooting scene, with long history of competition. Apex's first release will be the Rival 4-32x56 mm, which it's been developing for about 18 months. Apex partnered with Japan Optics to actually manufacture the scope, although it's designed here in Canuckistan. The scopes also undergo quality control testing in Japan, and a secondary round of quality control in Calgary. This scope has some unique features due to its design process, including Apex's proprietary CLR competition reticle. This first focal plane reticle is designed for long-range matches where shooters need their scope to handle quick transitions, with top half of the reticle unobstructed. It comes with ranging marks, for scenarios where you can't use electronic rangefinders, and has six-level illuminated main stadia. You can see a full explanation of the CLR reticle design at Apex's website. The scope also comes with elevation turret that features 15 MILs per revolution; windage and elevation adjustments are 0.1 MIL per click. The turrets are not locking, but come with mechanical zero stop and two-turn indicators (future scopes may come with locking turrets). There's a stainless steel pop-up turn indicator. Apex says it has the industry's first see-through integrated and removable throw lever. The new Rival scope has parallax knob indicators for approximate value for 100-, 200-, 500-, and 800-yard distances. Selling/trading an 1862 Enfield Snider rifle inn .577 Snider. These were modified rifles carried by the Metis as "Blanket Guns" during the Red River and Northwest Rebellions associated with Louis Riel. Based on the ornate decoration and configuration of the rifle, this would have been a period correct gun of that time. Barrel is a smoothbore. Wood stocks shows normal wear for its age but is in good solid shape. Steel has patina'd and shows well. Action has some play in it, hammer is cocked slightly to the left. A very unique piece. Howdy Townpost! I have a unique one for you this time. You there sir or madam! You wouldn't want to travel these dangerous streets without some form of protection under your coat! Have a look at this and turn off barrel pistol with a switchblade bayonet for backup, made by Mr. Nock. You may need it should you encounter any rowdies! This is a single shot box lock percussion pistol. It's a screw-barrel meaning you unthread the barrel, fill the powder chamber and place a ball on top it. You then use the barrel itself and the threads to seat the ball inside of the breach. Then a percussion cap on the nipple, put it at half cock put it in your dapper overcoat and pull it out should you meet any Scallywags on your travels. In my opinion this is an early Samuel Nock made Circa 1840s pistol. Based on comparable examples I've seen and the style of Engraving and construction of the pistol this appears to be an early production Samuel Nock made pistol. Samuel Nock was the nephew and an apprentice of of the more famous Henry Nock. Samuel knock became a very skilled and renowned gun maker in his own right. Most of his guns would be marked S. Nock but some of his earlier stuff had only his last name. I suspect he was trying to trade on his more famous uncle's name at the time. Overall the pistol is in pretty good condition except for a small hairline crack in the frame (pictured). There is some moderate pitting in the bore however it looks worse in the photo than it actually is. This is a smooth bore pistol and is breech loading so the pitting shouldn't make it difficult to load or shoot. This pistol was intended for point blank range shooting by virtue of the fact that has a stubby little bayonet to use in case you missed your target. The pistol mechanically fine. The trigger and lockwork are all in good working order and the spring loaded bayonet mechanism works perfectly. They are often broken because of the small springs and the daily carry type use of these firearms. The pistol is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it nationwide too.

Many Czech produced post-war Mausers were made with mostly late war and some newly produced parts. These were sold to various different militaries and on the commercial market many and of these were sold to the Israelis as well. The rifle features many late war stamped parts including the oversized winter trigger guard but does include a half size cleaning rod unlike the Kriegsmodell K98's produced by the Germans. It does not have a stock disk, as it just has a hole drilled in the butt cap for disassembly of the bolt. This particular example has a low serial number, but the serial number ranges are all over because of different contracts. The whole gun matches with the new forced match serial number. It has a scrubbed receiver, and has a beech wood stock and handguard in a nice brown color. The rifle bore is actually in very good shape, but there is some stubborn fouling stuck in there and I don't have a 32 Caliber cleaning brush to remove it but I'm sure if you use the proper brush it should come out pretty easy since it's not rust. Just shooting the rifle might even remove it. The muzzle crown is an excellent condition as pictured. The rifle does have minor some stock damage. It looks like a vice dent or some sort of hammering pattern, but it's only on the one side (pictured). Overall the gun is in very good original condition and the action is nice and smooth and it is unfired by me. This is a nice unique example of a k98 made by Brno, who is very well known for their quality produced firearms. The rifle is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it nationwide on the buyer's dime. If you live in Alberta I do get around the province a fair bit throughout the year, so if I happen to be heading to your area maybe we can do a meet up along the way on my travels to save you the shipping costs. I have about 10 pounds of various gun powder’s suitable for reloading .410 shotshells or small cased varmint ammo (eg. 22 Hornet, 221 Fireball) . 3 pounds of Winchester 296, 2 pounds of H110 (same load data as Winchester 296), 1 pound of Hogdon Lil’ Gun, 1 pound of Winchester 680, 4 pounds of Bulk 116S that uses Winchester 680 load data. Steel is in good shape, steel has some varnish remnants on it which will come off with some elbow grease. Has decent colour on the steel, normal fading on the receiver and heavier handled parts. Wood stock is in good solid shape, one chip at the heel which was pinned but has some play. Has finish loss on the wood throughout. Bore is in nice shootable shape.
