A Fine .450/400 Nitro Express made in 1907. Perfect shiny bore with no cordite burn. London proved for 400 grain bullet, 60 grains cordite. Boarder engraved. 100, 200, 300 yard express sights. Rust blueing excellent, thinning on sharp edges and where the case contacts. Wood sound with 117 years worth of small nicks and dings. Case is rough. Leather is hard and stained. Moth damage to lining. Missing handle and straps. Comes with more ammunition than most people would want to shoot in an afternoon. 4 full boxes of old berdan primed Kynoch, solids and softs. Savage 99 in 300 Savage takedown lever action rifle circa 1927. Exterior blue was rated at 10% with brownish finish on the rest of the metal (I would have though higher but its the way a 1920s Savage 99 ages. Bore about Good to very good with some wear around the throat. Honest wear in a good solid hunting rifle. Very slight crack back of the tang of the butt stock (I had to actually look for it again) which is common to these rifles.
