SN 27379, very fine overall.​ History & Background Sullivan Forehand was an employee of Ethan Allen, the famous New England gunmaker. In 1860 he worked in an administrative capacity when he met his future wife - Allen's daughter - at work, and after marrying into the family became a partner in the business. Henry Wadsworth, an officer in the union army, met another of Allen's daughters while still in service during the war, and married into the family as well. Hello everyone. I have for sale a Savage 10 Law Enforcement Edition in .308 that has been my go-to hunting rifle for the last 3 years. It has a cheek riser, directional muzzle break, 24 in heavy fluted barrel, 20 MOA rail, long range scope with heavy duty hand lapped rings, 2 proprietary Savage magazines,an extra rubber butt pad to reduce recoil even more, 3 position safety and tactical bolt knob. The stock is with the bedded aluminum chassis for rigidity and precision. The AccuTrigger is adjusted at 2 lb. This is a very very accurate rifle. Here are some bullets tested with a 3 shot group at 100 yards: Sako powerhead blade 162 gr - 0.4 in Herters soft point 150 gr -0.45 in Federal berger hybrid hunter 168 gr - 0.48 in Sellier & Bellot soft point 180 gr - 0.48 in Norma soft point 150 gr - 0.74 in Sako superhammerhead 180 gr - 0.8 in Did load development for it with Barnes TTSX 130 gr and obtained 0.35 in at 100 yards . The scope is a SKW Optics 5x30x56 FFP in 0.5 MIL/click. The scope is high quality and tracks well. It s a 34 mm tube with lots of internal adjustment. It comes with everything already done and researched. You don t have to do anything.The rifle was $900 ,scope was $700 muzzle break $100 ,butt stock pad $40, scope rings $100,scope rings handlapping $50, extra magazine $100,trigger adjustment $50. The rifle is ready to shoot. Doesn't need anything. About 300 rounds through it. Currently sighted at 300 yards. Sold as a package since the scope rings are hand lapped for this rifle. No lowballers.
