This is a VZ24 Czech 8mm mauser with the “E lion” crest The receiver has formed a patina finish to it but the crest is deep and all details of the lion is clear. It is a non matching full furniture rifle. Top hand Gaurd is cracked the bands hold it together. Light/normal wear/scratches on stock wood and metal has not been refinished. Front sight is missing the VZ sight Gaurd a common part missing and not to hard to source, front sight is correct with the sight gaurd channel so the fix is easy as sourcing the part and sliding it in the channel. History: sourcing is a bit hard as many documents were lost/destroyed or not maintained during and post WWII. Some information I Did find on the E lion crest was some can be as old as 1935 but most with records dated and started to show up in 1936 they started to disappear in 1939 and many receivers with the Czech lion were required to be scrubbed after Germany absorbed Czechoslovakia during WWII.

This is a Budapest M95 steyr (mannlicher) rifle chambered in 8x56r. It is an arsenal force match SN 5988H. Straight pull bolt action, 5rd clip fed (1clip included with rifle). History: prior to WWII the 1895 mannlicher rifles were cut down to carbine length and rechambered from 8x50r black powder to the more powerful 8x56r smokeless cartridge which is indicated by the “S” on the barrel and score line on receiver and barrel. There is a few variations of these rifles most commonly having the “M95” engraved on the receiver with a “steyr” or in this rifle’s case “Budapest”

This is a 1940 Ishapore made No 1 MK111 ( not a MK111*) with mag cutoff and period correct RFI stamped bayonet. The hardware and wood set is good to excellent condition ( for an 84 year old rifle) and as far as I can tell, completely original from the factory. Bolt, receiver, Barrel, rear sight and nose cap are all matching numbers. The magazine isn't matching numbers but is RFI stamped. The bayonet is the short 12 inch "Indian Pattern" which I believe is a 1943 made bayonet. There are some visible repairs to the butt stock, maybe field repairs or post military use - I don't know. I can't make out the markings on the underside of the butt stock but it doesn't appear to be English or Latin script, possibly Punjabi, Bengali or Burmese. The barrel is probably nearing the end of it's life but I have taken this rifle to the range numerous times and it shoots fine with pretty good accuracy at 100 yards. I didn't really want to sell this one as it's a great historical piece, but I need to reduce the amount of Rifles and spare parts I have.
