Brand new Partial Length Picatinny/ACOG rail, 3 inches long and sits at the back part of the dust cover for a rear bias. It is the perfect length for red dot or holographic sights. It weighs 5 ounces/141g. The AK Master Mount™ patented optic mounts are unique and purpose built products for serious users. They are built as rugged as the rifle itself. It's low profile with a low axis over bore. It also has a unique quick release "Dual Axis Locking" lever and a “2 in 1” top rail design that can accommodate picatinny or ACOG based optics. Made in the USA. Dual-Axis Locking AK optic mounts secure to an AK receiver’s side rail by one of two main methods. The first method uses a rotating lever that has a contoured portion to rotate and lock into a corresponding cut-out in the side rail. Many of the traditional com-bloc optic mounts utilized this design and are broadly referred to as SVD styled mounts. This method is primarily securing the optic mount in the horizontal axis. The second method utilizes a rotating lever to deform the bottom part of the mount to “crimp” onto the side rail. These mounts are not really quick release despite their labeling as such, and this mount deformation makes it difficult to resize the mount to a different side rail on a different rifle. The more modern approach to this method is to use the rotating lever to manipulate a spring loaded clamping bar to compress against the receiver’s side rail to make it quick release capable. These style mounts are prone to “walking” along the side rail with heavy shooting sessions as they only secure the optic mount in the vertical axis. These two techniques have been combined in a patented design to firmly secure our optic mount to an AK’s side rail in both the vertical and horizontal axis to make it Dual Axis Locking. This secure attachment maintains optics zero even with sustained heavy shooting sessions. The clamping bar is also longer than the other optics mounts on the market to provide additional clamping surface contact, and two springs are used in the clamping bar mechanism for increased clamping bar stability and true quick release capability. Low Axis Over Bore The optic mount's low profile hugs the side of the AK receiver and the dust cover to deliver a low axis over bore placement. This allows simultaneous use of the rifle's iron sights if needed. The 12 sided proprietary locking bolt provides for a greater clamping bar tension range, twice that of most optic mounts on the market. This allows for true fine tuning of the clamping bar’s clamping force, and it also ensures proper fitting on side rails of slightly different dimensions on different rifles. Optics zero is maintained. Built Rugged As the AK Itself The optic mounts are machined from a solid block of 6061-T6 aluminum to achieve superior strength, but yet be weight conscious. Its one piece design keeps things simple, maintains structural integrity, and avoids fastener failures or movement that can occur in two piece optic mounts. Likewise the optic mounts were intentionally overbuilt with heavy duty struts to reliably support its integral 2-in-1Picatinny / ACOG rail and any attached optics. Its robust struts then pleasantly blend into the body of the mount which is also rugged enough to withstand whatever abuses are thrown at it. Despite the mounts ruggedness, the edges been rounded and contoured to make it egronomic, snag free and good looking. No wimpy levers here. The throw lever is also heavy duty and is fully inset into the body of the mount to protect it from any snags and accidental release. Accessory Side Rail Built into the struts supporting the top rail are cut-outs that allow for the use of optional Accessory Side Rails. These offset rails allow for use of additional sighting solutions and accessories. Compatibility The AK Master Mount™ AKM version optic mounts are specifically designed for the standard pattern AK side rail. History & Background Horace Smith and Daniel Baird Wesson acquired Rollin White’s patent (1855) for the bored-through cylinder to manufacture what they originally called the No. 1 revolver in .22 rim fire. It proved to be a rather ineffective little pocket revolver but was nonetheless very popular with civilians as a personal protective weapon. In 1861, just as the civil war gained momentum, S&W decided that they needed a larger caliber revolver in order to be able to convince the buying public (many of them enlisted in the war) that their gun was a viable protective option and as a back-up gun in battle. The scaled-up design was duly named the No. 2 and was nicknamed the “Army”, as it was widely used by military personnel as a personal side arm. Smith & Wesson retained and defended the Rollin White patent aggressively throughout the civil war period, and until its expiry in 1870, and therefore the No. 2 “Army” would be the only American made cartridge revolver used during this conflict (although several “unlicensed” makers added their wares into the fray, such as Uhlinger, Pond and Moore). Selling/trading a Marlin 30 AS 30-30. Overall it's in good shape. JM stamped, 20" barrel. Bluing shows well on the majority of the rifle with the exception of the right hand side of the receiver where it looks like moisture sat on it and took of the finish, has lightly freckled as seen in pictures. Wood stocks are in nice shape, some light finish loss and handling marks throughout and one fairly decent rub on the left side of the forestock. Bore is excellent. This is a correct WW Suhler Consortium M98 rifle. It is my opinion this rifle was reworked by the German military for use in WWII given the original WWII German armorers replacement. It is in original condition with all parts visible numbers matching. No import mark is present. Triggergaurd is unnumnered however it shows an Imperial H woth crown on the magazine floorplate. The magazine follower is an original German armorer Wafdenampt stamped replacement part. Buttplate is correctly unnumbered. Rating Definition: Excellent. Rifle retains 90-95 % crisp original finish. Stock: The walnut stock is correct and serialized 4473 to the rifle in good condition with a crack on the front left side between the upper barrel band and rear barrel band. Note: Stock pictures in listing show what looks like a crack in the mid area of the buttstock however there is no evidence of this on either the pistol grip side of the buttplate side where the stock is cracked whatsoever. Additional pics can be taken to show this. I hypothesize that this is perhaps a shrinkage in the wood due to rifles age. Rifle shows typical handling marks. No evidence of sanding. Bore: Bore is good with very pronounced lands and grooves visible. Rifle shows a great crown and has a smooth chamber. Mechanically sound, the rifle is in excellent condition. The action functions as it should.

British Pattern 1853 socket bayonet with leather scabbard This is a British M1853 Socket Bayonet for use with the Enfield, Snider, Martini rifles. This 1853 pattern was the standard bayonet carried by nearly every British infantryman of the mid-19th century and widely used during the Crimean War, Indian Mutiny, and in numerous colonial campaigns. Production of the1853 pattern socket bayonet continued throughout the life of the Enfield Muzzleloader and the Snider rifle and was finally terminated in 1875. The blade has a slight downward curve to allow easier reloading while fixed to the muzzle-loading Enfield rifle. Measuring 44 cm (17 inches), it features a triangular cross-section with fullers on all three sides, tapering to a narrow, down-turned point. The blade is in good solid condition but is badly tarnished. The scabbard is in fair condition. The bottom brass below the frog hook is pulled free from the leather scabbard. The brass tip on the scabbard wiggles a bit but is still solidly attached. The stitching on the scabbard in the last 3 ½” above the end cap is partially missing but the scabbard is solid and not separating. The scabbard is stamped W.D. (War Department) below the frog stud with the Broad Arrow symbol above the initials. This stamping is difficult to see. Easily accommodates 2 rifles ( see photos ) ...... a great metal gun case ( if somewhat heavy construction ) which I purchased to hunt overseas. It has not seen much use ( actually only  1 flight on a hunting trip to New Zealand  carrying both a Malcolm scoped 16 lb., 32" barreled Sharps long range and an a scoped 10 lb. mid range ) , as well as a dozen or so trips by car to various gun shows in North America, at which I used to display various select arms from my Sharps and Remington Rolling Block collection. The sturdily built case weighs about 17.8 lbs. by itself and measures 53 1/2 " x 13 1/4 " x 4 1/2" . I have tried my best to photograph and show the few dents on both sides of the case. These are now in the $600 plus price range for a new one. YES, both keys still come with it!   I am willing to ship at buyer’s expense, or offer local pick up --- I am also in Red Deer one day per week and can arrange to meet there, or enroute, for delivery.
