Looking for rifle & scope
As the title says. Just got my pal this year and am going to learn to hunt and hopefully in the next couple years fill a freezer with meat. I’ve been plinking with a .22 for the last couple months but now I’m looking for a good (but affordable) bolt action rifle, scope, also looking for advice on hunting in general and gear recommendations. If you have a rifle or scope that’s just sitting around let me know, I’ll take care of it and use it well. Budget is $750. Looking for .308 .30-06 calibre. Located in Calgary but I’d pay for shipping for the right firearm.

Rifle price $4500. Scope and rings price $2700. Custom Remington 700 made by ATRS. Nothing is stock. Shoots 1/4" groups at 100 yards with handloads. Always stored in a case and used to shoot long range. Took it out to 1240 and can hit milk jugs every time. Just selling as I don't get out as much as I used to. Paid over $7000 new. Only 300 rounds through it. Scope is a Vortex Razor Gen 2 3-18x50 in Mils. Has Vortex scope caps, Warne Professional rings and bubble level. Rifle Specs - Accurized action. 22" Lilja Barrel.
