For sale is a Winchester model 55 Nickel steel take down chambered in .30 W.C.F. Serial number 1047350. 24" barrel. The gun is in good shape for its age.The barrel and rifling are clean and good. Smooth lever action. The is a hairline crack in the stock and a little blemishing to the wood in fore grip. It comes with a little peep sight. See pictures for markings and condition. The model 55 was made between 1924-1932 and is a relativity rare rifle with only 20,500 made. This old gal has been a loyal B.C. local her whole life since she was registered in 1972. The fiberglass is still strong with minimal bruises - a new paint job might breathe a bit more life into 'er. Perks include a rear port kicker mount and spacious glovebox. Seats: 6 seats total – the front 4 fold down to make bench seats if desired (with small storage compartment underneath either way) and the rear 2 have substantial storage. One is fully available, the other has dual battery system within taking up about half of it. Upholstery generally strong with some expected wear and tear. Canopy: Full enclosure with see-through poly window for convenient navigation in cold, wet, or rainy conditions. Front flap zipper allows for convenient access to the bow to stow ropes/crab traps, get a better view, or re-enact the scene from Titanic where Jack and Rose stand at the front of the ship. (Re-enacting other scenes from Titanic not recommended). Side zippers allow the entire rear to be taken off for fishing or recreating, while keeping the front in place. SOLD. $800 Not sure of the year but guessing from The 70’s. Real low round count for the age. Sounds like it sat in a safe for over 30 years with a good coat of oil. Excellent condition. Only thing I’ve changed on it was the butt pad. The original was rock hard. Put a rubber butt pad that absorbs some recoil. Scope is nothing special. Red Ram 4x32. It was still zeroed for 200 when I took it to the range though. If I was keeping it, think that’s the only thing I’d change but this would be a perfect starter hunting rifle as is. .308 win still reasonable $ and will put down most big game if you know how to shoot. Have seen some other PH listed on here before that are not in nearly this condition for $700. This one is like new. Asking $800. Text is the best way to reach me. I can’t always take a call.
