They are padded perfectly and are designed to be pulled in further than almost every other brand - they actually ride on your chest muscles - so zero shoulder soreness is the result. I'm only getting rid of it because I just can't find an excuse to use it. Its just not the right type for me. Even then, I hate to let it go.
