Here we’ve got a muzzleloader shotgun being sold on consignment from Vulcan Gun Refinishing. No idea of manufacturing date. No maker’s markings anywhere that we can see however it’s highly engraved so it must have been a higher priced gun in it’s day. Mostly complete, only missing one of it’s cleaning rod guides as well as the original cleaning rod. A replacement rod is included but does not fit into the guides. The nickel plated forend cap is glued in place and has a non original screw underneath. Looks like the only non original part. The wood is in surprisingly nice condition with only 1 small crack but numerous small dings to be expected from something this old. The metal is also in fairly nice condition without any significant pitting and would clean up nicely. It functions perfectly as far as hammer and trigger operation. We measured the bore and it’s just shy of ¾” inches, coming in at around .739”. Overall in fair condition, it’s nicer than most “wallhangers” you see these days and will look great up on the wall as is but would look fabulous with a little cleanup.
