Upstair landlord: We're friendly mature couple with 2 boys: 9 year old, and 12 year old. We're easy going and respectful people. Basement ceiling has sound reduction material, plus separate heating system means there is sound blocked, But there are still some sound when kids playing upstair at main floor. So, this is not for you if you can't tolerate a slight noise during the day. :) By 8:00pm, we're at 2nd floor ready for sleep.
