This is a highly active natural (no commercial yeast) starter built on organic whole wheat and rye flour, all wild yeast and bacteria. Can pick up in Fort Saskatchewan or i can mail it to you. Dehydrated starters help jumpstart a new starter but are not required. The dehydrated flour has oodles of the desirable yeasts and bacteria but they are all over our environment and all that is technically needed is flour, water (in equal weights) and time.
