Springfield Flintlock Musket - ExpoAntique (Replica)
12 Ga Single Shot Firearms Muzzleloader
This reproduction of a 1795 Model US Infantry Musket has a .69 calibre, 44 3/4 inch long, round barrel that is made of tempered seamless carbon steel with a tight breech plug. The lock is made with strong durable springs and has a case-hardened frizzen cover (hammer) that throws good sparks. Both the lock and barrel are engraved or stamped with the appropriate Springfield arsenal markings. This muzzleloader's total length is 60 inches and weighs 10 pounds. However, you can drill a hole in the barrel to allow light (air) to enter so that it can be used for black powder shooting. Considered a historical weapon, no license is required to purchase and own this magnificent musket. However, you must comply with regulations governing the use of black powder if you wish to shoot with it.
As with all our other flintlock black powder muzzleloaders, the vent is not drilled. Aside from that they are exactly like the originals. A fine addition to any collection.
