The Only Matched 16" Trio Currently Available WorldwideInvestment-Grade Swedish Art Glass – A Curated Collection

Presented here is a statistically rare, matched trio of extra-large 16-inch "Torpedo" vases designed by Bo Borgström for Åseda Glasbruk, Sweden (circa 1960s).While smaller versions of this iconic mid-century design appear occasionally on the market, this is currently the only matched set of three in the oversized 16-inch height available for sale globally.Technical Specifications & AuthenticityDimensions: Each vase stands an impressive 16 inches tall () with a 4-inch maximum diameter. This is the rarest and largest production size for this series.

The "Controlled Bubble": A definitive marker of Åseda craftsmanship, each vase features a single, perfectly centered bullicante air bubble encased within a thick, solid clear glass base.

Superior Glasswork: Expertly mouth-blown with a refined 1/4-inch wall thickness. The rims are precision-ground, flat, and polished to a mirror finish.

Hand-Finished Provenance: The undersides feature authentic, lightly indented 1-inch snapped pontil marks, confirming these are genuine hand-blown studio glass.

Condition ReportClarity: The "Steel Blue" glass is vibrant and clear.

Integrity: No chips, cracks, or "sick glass" (internal cloudiness).

Vintage Character: As is consistent with 60-year-old art glass, there may be minimal, faint surface marks or "shelf wear" on the base that are difficult to see and do not detract from the set's stunning aesthetic.

Note: Original foil labels are no longer present, which is typical for water-soluble labels of this era; however, the technical details provide 100% confirmation of their Åseda origin.

Collector's NoteFor interior designers and serious collectors of Scandinavian modernism, this set offers an "instant collection" of high-impact statement pieces. Finding a single 16-inch Borgström vase is a challenge; securing a matched trio of this scale is an exceptional opportunity.
