Experienced Horse/Livestock Person Seeking Long-Term Acreage Rental

ISO long-term acreage/farm rental — Calgary & surrounding areas

I’m putting the feelers out for a private, long-term place to call home for myself and my very well-behaved 10-year-old rescue dog.

I’m looking for a cabin, suite, small house, mobile home, etc. on an acreage, farm, ranch or rural property. I’m very comfortable commuting, so I’m open to anywhere surrounding Calgary — Cochrane, Priddis, Bragg Creek, Springbank, Foothills County, Okotoks, Millarville, High River, Rocky View and beyond.

My budget is roughly $1200, ideally including utilities.

A little about me: I work full-time, am quiet, incredibly clean and respectful, and take care of a rental like it’s my own. I have an extensive background in veterinary medicine - specifically equine medicine, training horses - experience working alongside some very well known trainers, dog training/behaviour and farm work, so I’m also very comfortable around livestock and would be more than happy to be a helpful set of hands around an acreage when appropriate.

And my dog probably has a better resume than I do. She’s a 10-year-old rescue from Cochrane Humane, extremely well trained, quiet, house trained and wonderful with people, dogs, cats, horses and livestock. She’s done obedience competitions, agility and volunteer work.

I have excellent references for both myself and my dog and am looking for somewhere stable that I can truly call home for the long term.
