Savage Model 24F Predator – .17 HMR / 12 Gauge RARE (Looking for Part Swap/Trade/Part Cash)

Savage Model 24F Predator combination gun featuring an upper barrel chambered in .17 HMR (.17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire) and a 12-gauge lower barrel. It has the late-production matte-black finish with black synthetic stock and fore-end.

The .17 HMR chambering was introduced into the Model 24F Predator line in the mid-2000s, making this one of the later and less commonly encountered Model 24 configurations. The barrel is marked “Savage Model 24 Cal. .17 Hornady” and “Proof Tested 12 Gauge.”

Based on its features and markings, this example is from approximately the 2004–2007 production period. An interesting and uncommon variation of Savage’s long-running Model 24 rifle/shotgun combination series.

An interesting late-production example of Savage’s well-known Model 24 combination gun. This 24F Predator pairs a .17 HMR rifle barrel over a 12-gauge shotgun barrel and features the black synthetic stock and matte finish associated with the later Predator series. The .17 HMR configuration appeared near the end of Model 24 production, making it a less commonly encountered variation compared with the many .22/.410 and other Model 24 combinations produced over the years. A distinctive piece for anyone interested in Savage firearms or the history of the Model 24 series.
