Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 .250 3000

I have for sale one of the less common calibers in a pre-64 Winchester Model 70, the .250 3000. There were only something around 3000 made in this caliber. This one is in good condition, original except for scope base holes in the rear bridge. It come with the correct Lyman 48 WJS aperture sight; the rear open sight is missing. The stock has the factory cutout to accommodate the Lyman sight. The serial number, 17865, puts its approximate year of manufacture as 1939. It has the "clover leaf" tang. The barrel is 24 inches in length; the bore is shiny with very good rifling. I will be happy to send additional pictures to your email address or cell phone.
