Stevens Model 44 .25 20 Stevens Single Shot Rifle

I have for sale a good condition Stevens Model 44 .25 20 Stevens Single Shot rifle. (This is not the .25 20 Winchester cartridge.) The stocks have been refurbished and the butt plate polished. The rest of the metal has faded to a patina. The receiver shows some dings. The part octagon, part round barrel is 26 inches; it has good rifling in a dark bore. The riser for the rear sight is missing. I have not tried the take down function; the knurled knob is more than finger tight.

I have fired three rounds to test this rifle and it works fine. I have the remaining 17 rounds of .25 20 Stevens center fire single shot Buffalo Arms black powder ammunition available for sale.
