Howdy Townpost. I have a really interesting piece for you here. This is a conversion of a conversion rifle. This is a German made Ludwig Loewe Gew 88 that was later converted by the Germans into a Gew 88/05 and most likely given to the Ottomans in WWI as war aid. Many of these were retained and later converted in the 1930's to a Mauser 1935 pattern type rifle. They converted a large portion of their arsenal to this pattern including SMLE's a plethora of their different Mausers, and Gew 88's they had in inventory. This rifle was rebarreled to shoot the modern 8mm Mauser cartridge and re-stocked into a more Mauser-esq stock. This stock features Mauser bolt disassembly disks despite them not being required for the Gew 88 action. The stock on this particular example had a fairly large wood defect that the Turks neglected to address has been fixed. It was cleaned out and filled with Brownells Acraglas epoxy so it's rock solid now. The overall condition is good. The stock was professionally refinished. The bore is excellent, very sharp and clean rifling. The rifle is located in Calgary AB for pickup or I can ship it nationwide on the buyer's dime. PAL will be verified as per C-71

Knife bayonet for use on the 8 mm. Hakim self-loading rifle. The Hakim is a variation of the 6.5 mm Swedish AG42b Ljungman rifle. The Hakim bayonet is closely patterned after the Swedish M1896 bayonet. However, it has a conventional tang and wood grip scales to provide added clearance for the Hakim's muzzle brake. The Swedish M1896 bayonet will not mount to the Hakim, on account of the muzzle brake. However, the Hakim bayonet will mount to the Swedish Mauser, but only if the cleaning rod is not present.

This is a VZ24 Czech 8mm mauser with the “E lion” crest The receiver has formed a patina finish to it but the crest is deep and all details of the lion is clear. It is a non matching full furniture rifle. Top hand Gaurd is cracked the bands hold it together. Light/normal wear/scratches on stock wood and metal has not been refinished. Front sight is missing the VZ sight Gaurd a common part missing and not to hard to source, front sight is correct with the sight gaurd channel so the fix is easy as sourcing the part and sliding it in the channel. History: sourcing is a bit hard as many documents were lost/destroyed or not maintained during and post WWII. Some information I Did find on the E lion crest was some can be as old as 1935 but most with records dated and started to show up in 1936 they started to disappear in 1939 and many receivers with the Czech lion were required to be scrubbed after Germany absorbed Czechoslovakia during WWII.

Steel is in good shape, steel has some varnish remnants on it which will come off with some elbow grease. Has decent colour on the steel, normal fading on the receiver and heavier handled parts. Wood stock is in good solid shape, one chip at the heel which was pinned but has some play. Has finish loss on the wood throughout. Bore is in nice shootable shape. Comes with a ramp/post style front sight and a flip up leaf style rear sight. Could use a good going through if anything as it appears to hav east for a while. Today we’ve got a very nice WWII German Mauser Sniper rifle clone for sale. We built this for a customer about 10 years ago but he’s decided to thin out his collection and wanted us to sell this on consignment. Chambered in traditional 8MM, the barrel is in excellent condition with very prominent lands and grooves. Excellent headspace. The owner claims to have only shot a couple hundred rounds since it was built by us. The stock is in fantastic condition as well and was completely gone over and given the correct German cartouches. The rifle itself is free of any damage such as pitting or dings and was also treated to a full complement of German inspector’s markings, eagles and serial numbers, creating a great and authentic looking clone. Finished in Black Oxide Bluing, we went all out to mimic the various brushing and machining marks to once again, create a faithful copy of this classic battle rifle. It’s fitted with a reproduction scope and mount, which we also engraved with the rifle’s serial number and other German markings. The cast mount was metal finished to look like a machined part. A repro sling was also installed to give the whole package a finished look. We test fired it and she runs like a new gun. Ready to go, needs nothing. Have fun! If you’ve had a desire for a German WWII Sniper rifle but can’t afford a real one, this might fill the gap. Many people put these clones together but only we are willing to guarantee this rifle and will stand behind it should anything go wrong. We’ve earned your trust.
