Appears to have been a restored sporter, some of the small parts are DP marked (no major parts). Stocks aren't matching, rougher finish which could be lightly refinished and smoothed out. Length: SMLE No. 1 Mk III: 44.57 in (1,132 mm) Barrel length: SMLE No. 1 Mk III: 25.2 in (640 mm) In late 1915 the Mk III* was introduced incorporating several changes, the most prominent of which were the deletion of the magazine cut-off mechanism, which when engaged permits the feeding and extraction of single cartridges only while keeping the cartridges in the magazine in reserve, and the long-range volley sights. The windage adjustment of the rear sight was also dispensed with, and the cocking piece was changed from a round knob to a serrated slab. Rifles with some or all of these features present are found, as the changes were implemented at different times in different factories and as stocks of parts were depleted. I have a Lee Enfield #4 Mark 1 1942 Longbranch .303 British WW2 battle rifle with all matching numbers including bolt stock and reciever!. With a LB spike bayonet 1-10 round magazine and a original sling for sale. Not sporterized and not refurbished!, original WW2 configuration purchased from a seller in Quebec asking $2500 o.b.o. located in Windsor Ontario Canada. And yes it is still a tack driver!. As far as I know everything that I bought is all WW2 parts that came with this rifle and was issued, this thing was there!, where I don't know!. WW2 Canadian history!, unfortunately the Veteran/Hero who was issued this is unknown. I tried to get some info from the seller but to no avail he did not have any further information. Maybe the serial # might add some future light to this relic of a darker time in world history if researched further.

Up for grabs here is a sporterized 303 cal Lee Enfield. Hopefully the photos speak for themselves. The unit is not in the best of shape overall. The positive thing about this rifle is the bolt and the gun have matching serial numbers and the barrel and rifling are in very very goood shape.The gun did have a scope on it, which has since been removed (see photos). The front sight has been removed. One of the rifle sling rings is missing.The wood has some small dings and scratches and chips. There is a screw broken off on the bottom of the magazine plate. The bolt works very well, no problems there. I have Never fired this rifle. $125.00 plus shipping and handling. The unit is located in East Vancouver. Thanks for looking.......
