WW1 Swiss Model 1914 Pioneer Sawback Sword bayonet Sawback sword bayonet for use on the 7.5 mm. Schmidt-Rubin M1911 carbine and the M1931 Short Rifle (K31). The M1914 has a swell-point blade profile, where the blade is wider at the point than at the ricasso. The 1914 blade is fullered on only one side. The right side of the blade has the initials HS stamped immediately in front of the guard for the Maker Hans Steimer With the Swiss proof mark stamped below the initials. The back of the blade has an aggressive saw blade which starts 1” in front of the guard and extends to 14” from the guard. The right side of the guard has the number 478681 stamped in it. The release button works as designed. The scabbard is in good condition with the original leather attachment strap included. This bayonet was manufactured by Paillard with their mark stamped on the end of the scabbard. Overall Length – with blade in scabbard - 25” Length of Bayonet – 23 7/8” Length of Grip including the Guard – 5” Blade Length – 19 3/4” The M1914 was issued to select troops. This is a Budapest M95 steyr (mannlicher) rifle chambered in 8x56r. It is an arsenal force match SN 5988H. Straight pull bolt action, 5rd clip fed (1clip included with rifle). History: prior to WWII the 1895 mannlicher rifles were cut down to carbine length and rechambered from 8x50r black powder to the more powerful 8x56r smokeless cartridge which is indicated by the “S” on the barrel and score line on receiver and barrel. Winchester 94 dated 1922 ¾ mag 32winspl eastern carbine . Not much color left gum wood stock set, 94c marbles front sight , king rear sight . Good bore receiver has quite a few dings in it, stock set forearm has a crack up front where they crack , butt stock has a major chip missing . I took a bunch of pictures of this because of the imperfections . Its a hard to find original ¾ mag gun , it was a well used hunting gun . Decent yet fun shooter .

This carbine is a solid shooter and has a decent bore. There's a good sampling dents and dings on the stock and a couple of hairline cracks that I repaired a couple years ago. The rifle is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it nationwide on the buyer's dime. It's pretty short so it should be relatively inexpensive to ship.
