This adapter is precision machined from high quality stainless steel to the OD specifications of a 2 3/4 12GA shell plus and extra half inch in front to make this adapter three inches long in total. It will easily fit into your break open shotgun barrel and accept any 45ACP ammunition. After firing simply remove the adapter and tip upside down to remove the spent 45 ACP shell. This adapter has a rifled bore to increase accuracy, this in NOT a smooth bore adapter, again this adapter has a rifled bore. The 45ACP bullet side is precision CNC machined to the exact chamber dimensions to accept 45ACP ammunition (SAAMI chamber specifications). Adapter orientation is not important and the adapter will work in any position. Howdy Townpost. I've a neat old single shot 12 gauge made by Savage. It has a nice and light tenite stock that was sanded at one point to give it a matte finish. The shotgun is very tight and not off the face at all. The gun is very light and handy sitting 5.73lbs. It has a 12 gauge 2 3/4in, 28in full choke barrel. The patent number is molded into the plastic stock interestingly enough. The black paint on the trigger guard is flaking of a little. The shotgun is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it nationwide on the buyer's dime. It's pretty short when broken down, and is light so it should be relatively inexpensive to ship. If you live in Alberta I do get around the province a fair bit throughout the year, so if I happen to be heading to your area maybe we can do a meet up along the way on my travels to save you the shipping costs. PAL will be verified as per C-71.
