The arrival of the main body of Indians in the early summer was one of the important events of the year at the posts along the shores of Hudson Bay. Andrew Graham, who was at York Factory for several years, has left us an eye-witness account of the elaborate ceremony that preceded the trading at York when the Indian canoe fleet arrived from the West. After they had landed at the fort and had been duly received by the governor (as the local officer in charge was known), the chief and his lieutenant were dressed up in European clothes and then escorted to the chief's lodge with much pageantry. "In front are the halberts and ensigns," writes Graham, "next to the drummer beating a march; then several of the Factory Servants bearing the bread, and prunes, pipes, brandy, tobacco, and the beaver coats of the chief, which he had on when admitted into the Factory. Then comes the Captain [chief] walking quite erect and stately, smoaking his pipe and conversing with the Governor and his officers; then follow the Lieutenant and perhaps a friend or two who was permitted to come in with the Chief." In the picture, the chief, attired in scarlet, with one red stocking and one blue, is seen walking with the governor in all his finery. The walls of the fort, rising above the palisade, are of squared logs covered with plaster. The red ensign bears the Company's coat-of-arms in the fly. Price $675. Can ship once paid. Please text anytime 6476871484. Fully functional antique revolver in ready to shoot like new condition. Very smooth action. No PAL required. Comes with RCMP FRT paperwork. Reloadable ammo is available but sold separately. Tested with smokeless powder. This is conversion to British .455 Webley ammo. (available for sale online). but still can shoot original 11mm ammo. It is very interesting example of rarely blued 1873 French Service Revolver that was imported to United Kingdom and converted to .455 Webley caliber which was readily available in England of that time and was considerably more powerful than original 11mm ammo. This one is in excellent original condition, all the markings are sharp and complete. The serial numbers are repeated on all components: the barrel, cylinder, frame, grips, internal mechanism parts and even the screw heads and escutcheons. Everything matches. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is as perfect and it is mirror bright and the rifling is sharp. The action is excellent and accurate and very smooth, the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play at all. The walnut grips are excellent and show no damage this one looks like new. SN H48478, this one is made in 1881, rated excellent overall. MAS Mle 1873 French Service Revolver, 11mm French Ordnance The Mle 1873 was France's first double action cartridge revolver. After the disastrous loss to Prussia in the war of 1870, the French military closely examined its armaments and small arms, and they came to the conclusion that a new, more rugged and powerful side arm for their infantry was required. The result was the Mle 1873, designed by the famous partners of Chamelot & Delvigne, whose genius ideas would dominate much of the European military (and commercial) small arms market for decades to come. Many European countries adopted their designs, including Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, Russia and Belgium. Only the Brits and Germans would continue to develop their own side arms.

METAL FINISH TURNING SILVER GREY WITH LIGHT PITTING, SCRATCHES, HANDLING MARKS AND WEAR. STOCKS SHOW DINGS, MARKS AND WEAR. ACTION: STRAIGHT PULL RIFLE, BARREL LENGTH: 30.75", CLASS: CANADIAN NON RESTRICTED. The Schmidt–Rubin rifles were a series of Swiss Army service rifles in use between 1889 and 1958. They are distinguished by the straight-pull bolt action invented by Rudolf Schmidt and use Eduard Rubin's GP90 7.5×53.5 and GP11 7.5×55 Schmidt–Rubin rifle cartridge. The Schmidt–Rubin 1896/11 rifle, or the Model 96/11, was a Swiss upgrade to the 89/96 rifles they had, to use the more powerful cartridge adopted as the GP11. The GP11 cartridge operated at a higher chamber pressure, which the 89/96 action could easily handle. The model 89/96 rifles were modernized by changing the three-groove rifled barrel to a new 4-groove type, adding a pistol grip to the stock, changing the magazine to the 6-round type used in the 1900 short rifle, and modernizing the sights. This also streamlined the appearance of the rifles. Because more rifles were needed than were available, the model 1911 rifle, with slight changes, was put into production. Almost all of the 127,000-plus model 89/96 rifles were converted to the 96/11 specifications. An improvement over the original 1889 version of the Schmidt–Rubin rifle, the Swiss M1911 placed the locking lugs in the middle of the bolt, rather than at the rear, strengthening the action and allowing a more powerful cartridge, the Gewehrpatrone 11 or GP 11 to be used. It is distinguished from the 96/11 rifle by a curved butt plate and by a stock with an integral semi-pistol grip. It uses a graduated tangent sight which begins at 300 meters. The 1911 and 96/11 rifles were made with excellent craftsmanship, and were exceptionally accurate. As Switzerland remained neutral through both world wars, remaining rifles are typically in far better condition than other European rifles of the time. Magic the Gathering card collection+ [100s UNSEARCHED]
Firstly I barely remember how to even play MTG let alone what the fk World of Warcraft game cards are. What I can say and do know is these were just received by me and I own them now as part of a family estate sale unfortunately so it legally did cost me and notary and having greedy parents and siblings isn’t fun frankly I didn’t even want these things but it was insisted in a will and I know somethings like these need to be properly protected and stored to be of any value and I don’t even trust what little family I left to do that.Digressing before I take these to some sweaty cardshop and either ask the employees at the place what they are worth get lied to and told “10 bux.” Or throw me a booster pack of Pokemans cards then display some random card I have for $3,000 in a 4 bolt locked case like I’m an NPC in TCG Manager or better yet ask the nerds in the store playing in sweaty 90 hour tournaments I figured I would check online first and I was told that FB marketplace is often the hip thing todo these days (what do I know I was 10 years old when Magic the Gathering came out and haven’t played last since I was like 12 which was like 1996: there are (and I’m guessing here) at least 300 to several hundred Magic cards and when I checked about 8 random cards there might be some World of Warcraft cards mixed in though I was told this is limited and I didn’t even know Wizards of the Coast made a WoW card game. These are seemingly in mint or near mint condition as I was also told this and my previous family member owner was OCD about that stuff it seems like a couple also have plastic sleeves with support backings to not bend or so the cards are extra protected. Now while I also have no clue in hell what any of these are worth by looking at them even if I checked all of them I would guess wrong. I know they were apparently from booster packs whatever that means. And they are 100% unsearched unchecked and unappraised aside from the ones I used in the pics and 2 random WoW cards I pulled out last night and apparently have been kept in this 2 foot cardboard shoe box full basically end to end and that seems to me like several hundred cards. I don’t know but I do remember the original graphics on the back of the cards which are there, I don’t know but my family member who is no longer around had more than this but sold them or something and may have kept the most valuable and possibly the original non reprinted versions that came out originally if that’s the case they gotta be worth something so anyone who is looking for a box full of Magic the Gathering and some extras in apparent mint condition/protected that might at least give you a more than good chance of finding a rare and valuable card missing from your collection or this box being worth a few hundred to a few grand. Its your lucky day? Again myself nor anyone else who knew my family remember nor did anyone else search, check, review, research, appraise, truly value these cards aside from the several I pulled out at random just prior to and for the pics for this ad. In addition to this I again have no freaking clue what any Magic Cards are worth these days especially if there are decades old originals in here which I am assuming there are maybe the one that might be in here is the one like the Dragon card I ripped to shreds as a kid that was worth like 20 bucks back then. Hundreds now maybe? For all I know I should be getting these officially sent away to the offical appraisal services that encase them all in clear epoxy and grade them then stamp them and for several hundred dollars mail them back in velvet bags. And there is a card in this converse shoe box worth 5 grand, I really don’t know even if I checked all of them. But ultimately I don’t want to sell them to a card game shop owner who rips me off. I haven’t checked the value of the ones I looked at. I want these to end up with an honest collector legit. I hope an honest collector makes an offer/request so they can valuate until I do auction. equal trade pls in my ads-gold diamond pinky ring, gold/diamond 10-24k chunky bracelet. A dumb tv 55”+ no issues like new condition & base, lightweight coffee table similar to the lifetimes, office desk&good desk chair.
