Hello I'm selling a Arisaka-Carcano Type I Rifle, it is Italian made for the Japanese Imperial Navy for WW2. This is a combination of the Carcano 1891 and a Type 38. It has the action and barrel of a Carcano and it is chambered in 6.5 Jap, has the 2 piece stock, 5 round internal magazine, and the sighting system of the early Type 38. The bolt and receiver has markings from Fabbrica Nazionale d'Armi - Brescia, this is the more uncommon version accounting for roughly only a quarter of production with total estimates from 60k-130k across all factories. Two types of Type I buttstocks were made, the short and long version and this rifle is the long buttstock version. The bolt on the Type I cannot be swapped with a Carcano and vice versa as the Type I bolt has a slightly different location cut for the ejector. The exterior metal has some surface wear and some light surface rust with the buttplate being the most worn. The internals and bore are in good condition with good rifling as shown in the images and the bullet test, the bullet I used was the 6.5 Jap Norma Factory ammo. It is missing the cleaning rod and ejector, luckily the ejector is readily avaliable in parts stores such as Numrich. The rifle has a hidden duffle cut under the front barrel band, the previous owner repaired the duffle cut by putting a small wooden dowel in the cleaning rod hole and glueing the 2 pieces together. The glue has come loose and would need to be re-glued. The rifle shoots well using 0.264 Speer bullet handloads at 25M with all the shots landing well without any keyholeing. Awesome shooting all around rifle. It excels on getting packed around the mountains or long walks around home. Very well taken care of. It’s hammered everything from beaver to antelope to moose and elk. 6.5x284 is a very capable flat shooting round that is used by Gunwerks for their long range setups. Vortex Diamondback BDC 4-12x40 is in great condition with vortex lifetime warranty. The hash marks make bullet drop compensation super easy. I shot my antelope with it at 510 yards. 7lbs 1 0z all in fully loaded, super light. Awesome sheep gun. Comes with extra bullets, once shot casings, and a die set for reloading. American Pitbull Terrier Thais adorable lil chunky monkey surprised us on August 23 she is the only pup born and is a spoiled rotten diva . I didnt even know mana was pregnant so we need a home for her that has experience with the bully breed . They are not good for first time dog owners. She is eating solid food well and she can go up the stairs (13 of them ) but not so sure about down yet . She loves to play in the yard with mom and kitty and chases the squirrels . She may be paper trained but that could just be flukes lol but ya as much as I want to say no she is ready to go to her new family anytime !!!! This is my special boy Draco he’s the most loving dog and loves attention, he loves his walks. Also love his raw beef cubes. I’m honestly just testing the waters, the wife and I have a baby on the way and my boy needs someone who’s going to put the time into training him. With work I honestly don’t have the time and it’s selfish of me to not let him live his best life even though it’s going to suck for me. But I know it’s for the best. I originally got him 4months old such a sweet boy but my wife is super allergic and I feel bad having to separate him from our areas. He needs someone who’s loves letting there animals sleep in their beds, preferably a house with no children and a big yard or farm. He’s intact and still has his balls he had one litter of puppies. He’s very dramatic and Doesn't like getting his nails cut like I mean he’ll scream bloody murder This is a very long winded description but if anyone wants more info I’m more than happy to let you know. He’s still young good for a stud or you could get neutered I paid 4000 all in with his shots.
