Italian Glisenti Brescia Bodeo Model 1889 10.35mm/.44 Antique Revolver
Howdy Townpost! I've got an Italian jewel for you to take a look at here. This is an Italian Bodeo model 1889. These guns are among my favorite antique revolvers. They are a very simple rugged and easy to maintain and repair Military revolvers with one of the coolest safety/loading systems as part of its design. These revolvers are very well designed, and feature the safety, loading/unloading system called the "Abadie System". This system was designed in Portugal, but many European late 19th century designs incorporated it. This particular example is an 1897 production by Glisenti at Brescia. Glisenti made Bodeos from 1891 to 1906. This is considered a tipo (type) A or an enlisted model. The type A had a folding trigger which was considered safer and was issued to enlisted men and the type B was the officer's model and had a trigger guard. This particular gun is considered a late model because it has an internal hammer block safety, which is dovetailed into the hand (pictured). The early model had a external hammer block safety that was prone to breakage. I've personally seen multiple antique examples with broken external hammer block safeties. So it was a good move from a design standpoint to change. The early models also were finished in the white in a similar manner to the French model 1873 Chamelot-Delvignes were. This example is of course blued like the overwhelming majority of the late models. This revolver is in excellent condition mechanically and has minimal wear overall. The grips are in excellent condition and we're refinished professionally. The chambres and bore are in excellent & minty condition as well. And the bore itself is one of the best I've ever seen on a Bodeo, with clean, sharp and shiny lands and grooves. This revolver chambres the 10.35mm Italian ordinance cartridge. This cartridge is very similar to .44 Russian but has a smaller diameter bullet (.422) and a slightly tapered chambre. I have seen these shot with .44-40 bullets that are .427 in diameter. These revolvers were loaded with smokeless from the get-go in 1890 using ballastite, a smokeless propellant. For an additional fee on top of the price I can have the chambres slightly reamed so that they will accept .44 Russian cartridges. That way you can buy an off-the-shelf ammunition without the need to hand load. However these are quite easy to hand load and source components for. The revolver is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it nationwide too.

Photo of Czech Brno Post-War K98 Mauser

Czech Brno Post-War K98 Mauser
Many Czech produced post-war Mausers were made with mostly late war and some newly produced parts. These were sold to various different militaries and on the commercial market many and of these were sold to the Israelis as well. The rifle features many late war stamped parts including the oversized winter trigger guard but does include a half size cleaning rod unlike the Kriegsmodell K98's produced by the Germans. It does not have a stock disk, as it just has a hole drilled in the butt cap for disassembly of the bolt. This particular example has a low serial number, but the serial number ranges are all over because of different contracts. The whole gun matches with the new forced match serial number. It has a scrubbed receiver, and has a beech wood stock and handguard in a nice brown color. The rifle bore is actually in very good shape, but there is some stubborn fouling stuck in there and I don't have a 32 Caliber cleaning brush to remove it but I'm sure if you use the proper brush it should come out pretty easy since it's not rust. Just shooting the rifle might even remove it. The muzzle crown is an excellent condition as pictured. The rifle does have minor some stock damage. It looks like a vice dent or some sort of hammering pattern, but it's only on the one side (pictured). Overall the gun is in very good original condition and the action is nice and smooth and it is unfired by me. This is a nice unique example of a k98 made by Brno, who is very well known for their quality produced firearms. The rifle is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it nationwide on the buyer's dime. If you live in Alberta I do get around the province a fair bit throughout the year, so if I happen to be heading to your area maybe we can do a meet up along the way on my travels to save you the shipping costs. PAL will be verified as per C-71.

Does Not Fit: Gen 5 Models. Siderlock Safety Trigger's Help Prevent Accidental Discharge!! The Glock pistol has a combination of three automatic safety features (trigger safety, firing pin safety and drop safety), which are sequentially disengaged when the trigger is pulled. The central pivot of the trigger is the first safety mechanism to disengage when the trigger is pulled and therefore the most important. The safety pin of the Siderlock trigger is a precise positioning system and when engaged blocks the movement of the central pivot avoiding an accidental discharge of the weapon. The Siderlock trigger offers the option of keeping the pistol in its original firing configuration simply by not engaging the lock. The Siderlock concept is simple: With a push on the safety pin a sliding pin acts to block or release the movement of the central pivot of the trigger, where by avoiding an accidental discharge when the slide is in the block position, and behaves exactly as the original Glock trigger when in the release position, all the while maintaining the original manufacture specifications. Once the Siderlock trigger is installed on the pistol, firing is accomplished by sliding the safety pin to the left prior to pulling the trigger. Preventing firing is obtained by simply sliding the safety pin to the right (Right hand Shooter assumed). For left-handed shooters, simply remove and invert the safety pin using the tools and instructions provided with the Siderlock trigger. No matter which position the slide is in it never extends beyond the trigger guard, avoiding any accidental contact with the holster ether inserted or withdrawn. Siderlock adheres to the same high manufacturing standards as Glock, using only high quality materials, a simple design and construction process, and therefore is guaranteed for life. Features: Replaces factory trigger. Adds an extra measure of safety. Avoids an accidental discharge. Maintains Glock original specifications, and fits all Glock Gen 1-4 models. Easy installation, includes detailed instructions and images. Ambidextrous and dismantled. High quality materials. Does NOT fit Gen 5 Models. Lee Enfield No: 1 Mark III 1938 GR1 Singapore SMTLE
Lee Enfield No: 1 Mark III 1938 GR1 Singapore SMTLE . 303 BRITISH 10 round Mag, full wood, swivels, bayonet lug with pig sticker bayonet included, rear brass butt plate with tool kit compartment, 2000m rear adjustable iron sight. Frame and butt stock medallion match. Mag number unreadable. Length: SMLE No. 1 Mk III: 44.57 in (1,132 mm) Barrel length: SMLE No. 1 Mk III: 25.2 in (640 mm) In late 1915 the Mk III* was introduced incorporating several changes, the most prominent of which were the deletion of the magazine cut-off mechanism, which when engaged permits the feeding and extraction of single cartridges only while keeping the cartridges in the magazine in reserve, and the long-range volley sights. The windage adjustment of the rear sight was also dispensed with, and the cocking piece was changed from a round knob to a serrated slab. Rifles with some or all of these features present are found, as the changes were implemented at different times in different factories and as stocks of parts were depleted. The magazine cut-off was reinstated after the First World War ended, and not entirely dispensed with in manufacturing until 1933. The SMLE Mk III* (renamed Rifle No.1 Mk III* in 1926) saw extensive service throughout the Second World War, especially in the North African, Italian, Pacific and Burmese theatres in the hands of British and Commonwealth forces. Australia and India retained and manufactured the SMLE Mk III* as their standard rifle during the conflict, and the rifle remained in Australian military service through the Korean War, until it was replaced by the L1A1 SLR in the late 1950s.The Lithgow Small Arms Factory finally ceased production of the SMLE Mk III* in 1953.
