The word Paragon means, “a model of excellence”. And this is true of this optic series. I see the Paragon as being the technological descendant of the old Bellorussian PK-AS sight, a one power prism sight that through innovative use of lenses, seems to have a nearly non existent edge when you look through it. Thick opaque edges serve only to limit situational awareness. Competing brands and their prism sights are a miss due to large knobs… they are “good enough”. But the nearly invisible edge of the PK-AS and later on the Paragon discarded the idea that “good enough” was actually “good enough” in regards to situational awareness. Unlike the PK-AS, the Paragon is designed to be small and light. All Paragon models also boast the best eye relief when ranked against competing micro prism sights. -------------------------------------------- Vector Optics Paragon x1 The design of he Paragon x1 is as low profile as possible. No opaque protrusions to reduce situational awareness. Controls, windage and elevation adjustments are close to the body of the optic. In the cold Canadian climate there is some wisdom in avoiding something battery dependent in the outdoors. The one power paragon has a circle dot reticle which, according to gestalt psychology, draws the eye quickly to the center. It is a reticle type which is faster to acquire than a dot or a crosshair. The Paragon x1 comes with a low mount and a high mount to be optimized for a large variety of firearm types, from the traditional Mossberg shotgun to the 180C. Caliber Range (max): 12ga, 338. Bottom Cooey Model 82 was a single shot bolt-action .22 caliber target rifle intended for use in training Canadian Army and RCAF cadets during WWII. This Military Cooey Model 82 trainer from WW2 was used for drilling purposes, target shooting, Home Guard and Cadet training.There is a Stock Number and C broad arrow on the bottom of the pistol grip and a crest on the top of the receiver. The bolt also has the C broad arrow. Nice walnut stock with minor marks on the stock as can be expected on a training rifle. It was designed by my late friend and fellow gun enthusiast. No fire forming required, run the case thru the dies, trim, load and shoot. These days when components are so expensive it's nice to be able to go to the range and shoot more than a couple rounds and actually have some fun. One load I have uses only 18.6 grains of powder, that's somewhere around 375 loads to a pound of powder! Great for gopher, coyotes, fox and other small game or just target shooting for fun. These are brand new still sealed from factory

Leupold 12x target scope with 1" tube and 40mm objective lens. Gloss black- however the turret caps are matte black.  It works great, but has several scratches and marks. Ring marks are also present- but not dented in tube.  By no means is this scope mint, but it's an awesome target scope for the range. I used it for high power and smallbore silhouette shooting and it worked great.
