All Swedish Mausers other than trials rifles were chambered for the 6.5×55mm Swedish cartridge, and all Swedish-made actions were proof-tested with a single 6.5×55mm proof round developing approximately 455 MPa (65,992 psi) piezo pressure (55,000 CUP).[4][5] Swedish Mausers were manufactured by Waffenfabrik Mauser AG in Oberndorf a/N in Germany and in Sweden by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori and Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Aktiebolag. Consignment sale: Selling/trading an Argentinean Mauser Model 1909 in 30-06 that was part of world renowned gunsmith Martin Hagn's personal collection. Has a 23" Hammerli barrel marked with Martin Hagn along the top. Metal work was done by Martin, colour case hardening was done by Turnbull Restoration, engraving done by MRM Engraving which includes all small parts including each individual screw head. Has a trap door grip cap which holds spare iron sights within it. Gold "Hagn" inlay ontop of the receiver, an inset pin at the tang commemorating his trophy bull harvested in Sweden, and a gold monogram on the underside of the butt. Stock work was also done by Martin and includes an ebony forend. Comes topped with its original iron sights as well as quick detach claw mounts with a Zeiss Diavaari 1.5-6x42mm scope with German #4 reticle. Post 1896 Spanish Calvary Carbine, a great piece of history, has original barley leaf sights, all matching numbers on bolt, receiver and stock, rifle is still chambered in 7×57 Mauser. Awesome patina on stock and the rifling is in great shape for the age of the rifle. A great add to anyone's collection and it shoots amazing. Has a small crack on the butt of the stock.

Howdy Townpost. I have a really interesting piece for you here. This is a conversion of a conversion rifle. This is a German made Ludwig Loewe Gew 88 that was later converted by the Germans into a Gew 88/05 and most likely given to the Ottomans in WWI as war aid. Many of these were retained and later converted in the 1930's to a Mauser 1935 pattern type rifle. They converted a large portion of their arsenal to this pattern including SMLE's a plethora of their different Mausers, and Gew 88's they had in inventory. This rifle was rebarreled to shoot the modern 8mm Mauser cartridge and re-stocked into a more Mauser-esq stock. This stock features Mauser bolt disassembly disks despite them not being required for the Gew 88 action. The stock on this particular example had a fairly large wood defect that the Turks neglected to address has been fixed. It was cleaned out and filled with Brownells Acraglas epoxy so it's rock solid now. The overall condition is good. The stock was professionally refinished. The bore is excellent, very sharp and clean rifling. The rifle is located in Calgary AB for pickup or I can ship it nationwide on the buyer's dime. PAL will be verified as per C-71

7x57 (7mm Mauser) built by H. Berg on a Mauser 98 Action from Flensburg (NE Germany).  Specs:  24" Barrel using Bohler Spezial Austrian Steel (not sure the twist rate). Walnut Stock, 3-position safety, double-set triggers (roughly 5.5 lbs & 2.5 lbs).  Flip-Up express rear sight.  This is a "Hunting Gun" and shows typical scuffs, scrapes and minor dents throughout.  The receiver has NOT been drilled & tapped.  The test target shown was only at 25 yards, just to prove that the gun shoots well.  On the underside of the barrel is bare metal (32 mm X 6mm) where I believe there was a mounted front swivel on a plate.  There is no swivel on the fore-stock but could easily be installed.  The barrel is clean & bright with good rifling.  This would be a great quad gun or open sight deer stalking rifle through the woods.  I'm selling because I have four other 7X57's and trying to reduce my collection.
