By using the receiver of an existing non-restricted shotgun we have been able to add M3 style components to achieve the same look, feel and function of the legendary M3 Super 90, but without the prohibited classification. The TAC-12 “M3 Super 90” is a dual-mode semi-automatic and pump action 12GA shotgun. It can be quickly converted from autoloading to pump by simply turning a spring loaded ring located on the end of the forearm. The M3 was developed in the 1980’s for special operations and elite law enforcement units who required a shotgun that could adapt to various tactical roles. It’s dual-mode system allows for effective operation of both standard and special purpose ammunition, (i.e. rubber, tear, flare, etc.) on the fly. The M3 was designed to operate under the most adverse conditions and boasts easy handling, accuracy and a high rate of fire. Notable adopters include the Canadian JTF2, Czech 601st Special Forces Group and French GIGN. The TAC-12 “M3 Super 90” features a 20” barrel threaded for interchangeable chokes. It has a 3” chamber and is fed by a 5-shot tubular magazine (6 shots, 2.75”). The extended magazine tube features a barrel clamp for additional durability. There is a magazine cut-off/chamber-dump button so the shooter can directly chamber a special round without having to cycle through the entire magazine. Fixed on top of the receiver are 3-dot ghost-ring sights for fast target acquisition, and tapped holes for the addition of an optional top picatinny rail. The stock is fixed polymer with non-slip grip checkering, with a rubber buttpad and a sling loop located on both sides. The pump handle is ergonomically shaped with non-slip channels for use with gloves or in wet environments. As the original, it is operated by the proven inertia system. This system delivers unmatched reliability, cleaner operation, and lightning-fast cycling in a lightweight, ultra-durable design. Bluing is in very nice shape throughout on the barrels, some light fading here or there. Colour case hardened receiver also shows well, some light wear/freckling on the heavier handled parts. Wood stocks are in good shape, a few normal bumps and marks from being hunted with. Bores are very nice. Comes with improved modified and improved cylinder chokes. Overall a very nice shotgun. This firearm was manufactured before the manufacturer changed its name to Webley & Scott in 1897. 2.75 in. chambers. fixed chokes. double triggers. internal hammers. automatic safety. Hawkins recoil pad. double bead sight. All metal parts including the rib and both barrels are covered in intricate beautiful engraving. Wooden stock and wooden fore stock are both delicately checkered. Well cared for. Has not been fired for many decades. No rust or pitting on any metal parts. Stock has a few scratches and dents but no cracks. There is a small hairline crack on the upper right side of the fore stock. price includes an interesting looking old worn leather take down carrying case and a vintage cleaning kit in an old wooden box. more photos available on request. the shotgun was not stored in the leather carrying case.

Made by G [George] Bate a famous English gunmaker from Birmingham England. double triggers. double exposed hammers. 2.5 inch chambers. all the metal parts of the firearm are covered with delicate intricate engraving. the barrels appear to be Damascus steel. There is no serial number from the manufacturer. There is a serial number sticker from the Canadian Firearms Registry on the side of the receiver from when the firearm was registered under the now defunct long gun registry. all old firearms records for this gunmaker were destroyed in the 1940's when the factory was bombed in WWII. The gun was made between the 1890's and the 1920's. G Bate Maker, changed its name to G Bate Ltd in the 1920's. in the 1990's the name was changed to Bate & Cross [Gunmaker] Ltd. it has been well cared for. there is no rust and no pitting. the wooden stock has some scratches and dents but is not cracked. it has not been fire for many decades.
