Winchester Model 1892 44-40
Selling/trading a Winchester Model 1892 in 44-40. Overall it's in fair shape but could use some work. 20" barrel, made in 1912. Steel is in fair shape, has some normal tarnishing and freckling, no real bluing left. Wood stocks are in good shape, looks to have been refinished and show well. Bore is in decent shootable shape, average condition considering its age. The hammer bolt looks to be epoxy'd into place in the receiver as the threads look to possibly be stripped. This causes the action to still be fireable even on half cock. The bolt doesn't stay in place properly and will need to be addressed. Sling loop on the underside of the butt is not original. Would make a great restoration piece or fix the action and shoot as is. Given its condition it will be sold as is with no warranty or guarantees. Looking for $850 shipped.
