This is a .22 competition target Vickers rifle made in the 1930s, some time between 1934 and 1939. It is a 44 1/2" long, quite heavy beast with the Vickers signature 'relieved' barrel-to-fore stock mounting, apparently to enhance the accuracy. It utilises the narrow, falling block, Martini-type action. The bore is bright and shiney, with crisp rifling. It has competion-type fore and rear sights. Overall it is in good to excellent shape. The only thing of note is that at some point a previous owner drilled a line of holes underneath the forestock, which have been filled. The images give an idea of the overall condition of the rifle. Leitner designs - ACS forged Rack for 2007 to 2020 Chev Silverado 6’6” bed. The rack bolts on, it does require some drilling for rear support braces. New rivet nuts are required from Leitner for about $28. The rack is rated for 1400 lbs static weight and 800 dynamic on highway. The rear bar can be moved to the front to open space for hauling tall loads. New these racks run $3000. Some blue paint transfer on support brace from hauling MDF sheets. Requires one new M8 bolt.
