The Enfield L39A1 is a British military target/match rifle developed in the late 1960s by the Royal Small Arms Factory (RSAF) Enfield. It was essentially the open-sights counterpart to the L42A1 sniper rifle (which used a telescopic sight), both built on converted Lee-Enfield No. 4 actions rechambered and rebarreled for 7.62×51mm NATO (.308 Winchester compatible). This rifles overall commission isn’t very good shape from the wood to the bore. You will not be disappointed in this precision shooting platform. Easily accommodates 2 rifles ( see photos ) ...... a great metal gun case ( if somewhat heavy construction ) which I purchased to hunt overseas. It has not seen much use ( actually only  1 flight on a hunting trip to New Zealand  carrying both a Malcolm scoped 16 lb., 32" barreled Sharps long range and an a scoped 10 lb. mid range ) , as well as a dozen or so trips by car to various gun shows in North America, at which I used to display various select arms from my Sharps and Remington Rolling Block collection. The sturdily built case weighs about 17.8 lbs. by itself and measures 53 1/2 " x 13 1/4 " x 4 1/2" . I have tried my best to photograph and show the few dents on both sides of the case. These are now in the $600 plus price range for a new one. YES, both keys still come with it!   I am willing to ship at buyer’s expense, or offer local pick up --- I am also in Red Deer one day per week and can arrange to meet there, or enroute, for delivery.

Stock has been varnished and shows well, normal bumps/bruises here and there, which clear coat has covered up some of the factory checkering. Bore is in very nice shape.
