Up for grabs here is a sporterized 303 cal Lee Enfield. Hopefully the photos speak for themselves. The unit is not in the best of shape overall. The positive thing about this rifle is the bolt and the gun have matching serial numbers and the barrel and rifling are in very very goood shape.The gun did have a scope on it, which has since been removed (see photos). The front sight has been removed. One of the rifle sling rings is missing.The wood has some small dings and scratches and chips. There is a screw broken off on the bottom of the magazine plate. Selling/trading a Gewehrfabrik Danzig Sporting Rifle in 8mm Mauser. Overall it's in nice shape. 24" barrel, controlled round feed Mauser action, twin trigger, bolt and receiver are matching. Steel is in good shape, steel has some varnish remnants on it which will come off with some elbow grease. Has decent colour on the steel, normal fading on the receiver and heavier handled parts. Wood stock is in good solid shape, one chip at the heel which was pinned but has some play. Has finish loss on the wood throughout. Bore is in nice shootable shape. Comes with a ramp/post style front sight and a flip up leaf style rear sight. Could use a good going through if anything as it appears to hav east for a while. I have a Lee Enfield #4 Mark 1 1942 Longbranch .303 British WW2 battle rifle with all matching numbers including bolt stock and reciever!. With a LB spike bayonet 1-10 round magazine and a original sling for sale. Not sporterized and not refurbished!, original WW2 configuration purchased from a seller in Quebec asking $2500 o.b.o. located in Windsor Ontario Canada. And yes it is still a tack driver!. As far as I know everything that I bought is all WW2 parts that came with this rifle and was issued, this thing was there!, where I don't know!. WW2 Canadian history!, unfortunately the Veteran/Hero who was issued this is unknown. I tried to get some info from the seller but to no avail he did not have any further information. Maybe the serial # might add some future light to this relic of a darker time in world history if researched further.
