Not willing to sell this gun without the loading supplies for it as well. Good luck finding factory ammo for this thing as it is an odd caliber but can shoot very well once you have it dialed in. Have shot sub .5MOA groups with this gun at 950. A Stevens model 58-12 gauge from Savage arms and is bolt action. From the 1960s, 2 3/4 inch and Full choke. Comes with a 2 rds mag that has been repaired (someone stepped on it a long time ago). Has hardly ever fired, been sitting in a safe for 4 decades. Bore and action is exellent. Not sure if it was converted from a Mauser Ger98 or just based on it. I'm selling my Shilen Select match barrel for a savage small shank action. The barrel is an S7 sendero contour, 26" 1:8 twist, 4 groove with a .274 no turn neck. The barrel has seen exactly 725 rounds through it with slow burning powders, every round is documented and recorded along with load data for each round fired. Lots of barrel life left,This was not a comp barrel, no prolonged strings of fire. It was a deer,coyote gun. Very accurate and liked multiple different bullets. Only reason for selling is I had a new barrel done in 6 Rem AI in an IBI carbon fiber barrel for a lighter weight rig. The barrel new almost $700 plus shipping. It is an easy 1/2" MOA barrel. Asking $330 Firm I also have 100 pieces of Lapua 30-06 brass that have been formed and neck turned with one firing for this barrel, better than any brass you can find for the 6mm Rem.
