This adapter is precision machined from high quality stainless steel to the OD specifications of a 2 3/4 12GA shell. It will easily fit into your break open shotgun barrel and accept any 22 Magnum ammunition. After firing simply remove the adapter and tip upside down to remove the spent 22 shell, or use your finger nail to grab and remove the shell while the adapter stays in your gun. The wide groove cut in the face will not only allow you to easily remove a spent shell but also provides a recessed clearance area for your firing pin. Adapters that don't have this recessed area (or recessed area in the wrong spot) do not provide the proper clearance for your firing pin and may damage your shotgun. A smooth bore is gently reamed through the adapter for the bullet (no rifling). Adapter orientation is not important and the adapter will work in any position. The bolt also has the C broad arrow. Nice walnut stock with minor marks on the stock as can be expected on a training rifle. Made in about 1902, a Winchester 1873 lever action rifle in caliber 22 long has a 24 inch barrel, a dark worn bore showing some rifling and has original sights. Works nice as a single shot, inner magazine tube is missing. Metal condition is good with little blue remaining. Stock is very nice with no cracks and original finish. Forend has a crack but is functional. The inner magazine tube is available from time to time but the function as a single shot is perfect.
