These congratulatory messages are very rare because a 50th anniversary is a rare life milestone, paper documents degrade over the decades and congratulatory Nazi messages would often have been discarded after the fall of the regime. The German text reads: "I send you and your wife my warmest congratulations on the rare occasion of your golden wedding anniversary. I hope and wish that you may enjoy a long and untroubled retirement surrounded by your family. The Führer, Adolf Hitler." The Nazi eagle emblem and words "GOLDENEN HOCHZEIT" are rendered in gold ink and the Nazi eagle seal in the bottom left of the document is pressed into the paper. There are currently two listed for sale. Legacy Collectables $1250 US and Gettysburg Museum $1599 US (with a few extra paper documents). I prefer to keep these heirlooms in Canada, hence the pricing. PPN3 gen 1 Polish night vision scope that was originally designed for the PKMN machine gun. However, it fits all guns that have a side rail, such as AK and Dragunov. It is altogether in good working order and has clear picture quality, it has a canvas carry bag and has two daylight filters. The reticle bulb and reticle also function correctly, batteries are very rare and not widely circulated, the system operates off of four volts but works the same if two aa batteries are wired together. Here you have a nice used example of something that was used during the war. Recently gone through and cleaned. Everything operates as it should. The bolt and breach do not match. However, there is a Canadian marked 1942 sling that is original. The markings are very faint. The pistol grip and  stock are marked with  C  arrow. The front site and front  stock  have the LB stamped Steele. This is a five groove barrel in very good and clean condition. C-arrow  is also stamped on the breach. There are a few bumps and bruises to be expected from the age of this rifle. Outside of that you have something that should function and last another very long time. A rare 1942 marked U.S. military Legitimus machete. These were used mainly by U.S. Marines in the Pacific while fighting the Japanese. Comes with a handmade leather sheath that fits perfectly. I believe this was either made by a Marine/Soldier or by a local Pacific Islander post war.
