This is a Rare Antique Remington Early Production Type I, A.K.A. The Double Derringer. Remington produced around 150000 model 95’s between 1866 and 1935. There were only around 1600 produced before the addition of an extractor. Making this one the hardest to find for collectors. This type is marked “E.Remington & Sons, Ilion, N.Y.” on one side of the barrel rib and “Elliot’s Patent Dec. 12, 1865” on the other. Later models would see the addition of an extractor and the barrel address moved to the top rib. This has a 3” barrel, is chambered in .41 rimfire and has a spur trigger. There are a a few light handling dings and almost no original finish left. The grips are in fine condition. Mechanically it is still very strong with the action working and cycling as it should. The hinges are intact. There is a slight play in the lock up which would be a fraction of a millimeter. These were carried by many people in the Wild West as they were easily concealed. Wild Bill Hickok is said to have carried a pair of these at times. This would make a great addition to a Remington collection and could be the centre piece to any collection. this is an antique so no PAL is required for purchase. Comes with a bunch of upgrades as in full auto trigger group (red) and comes with factory trigger group as well (black), 2 upgraded handrails including the factory handrail, upgraded barrel (needs an adapter to be installed), extra mags, Brand new air tank with a drop down adapter for better ADS with a mask on and to compliment that I have a red dot riser to help, etc.... The gun preforms fantastic and definitely out preforms the competion with range and accuracy with First strike rounds (not so much with volume of fire cause of 20 round mags). Being able to reach out and touch players across the field is key, when their rounds fall short due to poor accuracy markers you get easy pickings with this gun and that`s why I chose it in their first place. I have since moved onto wanting more airsoft game play so that being said $1000 takes all or I'm willing to trade this gun setup for a airsoft GBB rifle or smg of similar quality or value.
