Lodge Assistant/Cook β Casual Position
Chateau Lac Ste. Anne Lodge
Description: Directly reporting to the Site Manager, the Lodge Assistant is accountable for: Maintaining Site Cleanliness, Laundry Services, Safety and Security. This position entails a high level of interaction with our Residents.
Description: Directly reporting to the Site Manager, the Cook is accountable for: Meal Preparation for approximately 50 residents, Serving Meals and Cleanliness of Food Services Area. This position entails a high level of interaction with seniors and requires physical endurance (e.g. maneuvering heavy pots, flour bags).
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
The Chateau Lac Ste. Anne Lodge is a fast-paced environment with many repetitive tasks. The position can be physically demanding and attention to detail is important. This position requires a combination of standing & walking throughout the shifts.
This position is required to work a combination of day, afternoon and night shifts based on a 24hr β 6 week rotating schedule.
Personal Suitability
The applicant must show initiative, effective interpersonal skills, flexibility and be a team player. Excellent oral communication, Resident focus, interpersonal awareness, dependability, judgement, values and ethics; reliability as well as organizational skills are an asset.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
β’ Demonstrates an understanding of generally accepted commercial cleaning practices
β’ Demonstrates an understanding of the Canadaβs Food Guide to Healthy Eating
β’ Knowledge of food ratio guidelines based on dietary requirements for seniors
β’ Demonstrates understanding of dietary requirements for seniors
β’ High School Diploma
β’ WHMIS
β’ Level 4 Criminal Record Check
