Selling/trading a J.P. Sauer and Son single shot rifle in 7x57R. Overall it's in excellent shape. 26" half round half octagon barrel, with set trigger. Bluing is in excellent shape throughout with very few, if any notable imperfections. Wood stocks are also in excellent shape throughout. Scope mounting was done by world renowned gunsmith Martin Hagn. Comes with 2 scopes both with claw mounts - a Hensoldt Wetzlar Diasta-D 4x32 with #1 reticle and matching leather case as well as a Zeiss Diatel 6x42 T* with #4 reticle. Bore is in excellent shape as well. Comes topped with its original iron sights. Will also come with roughly 300 round of ammo. Overall a beautiful and very scarce rifle. Looking for $7595 shipped. Selling as i have less time to shoot rifles and this one deserves to go to someone who will shoot it. I know there is varying reviews on these conversions. My understanding is most (possibly all) were done by century arms and some cycled and some did not. Do your own research please. This one has cycled 125rds of the lake city ammo for me and I don't recall any failures. Both mags did work. Can't guarantee any other ammo as I only tried the one. At the time I acquired this rifle the original scopes were either unavailable or very expensive. I found the vomz played the part. The front is attached with an original ring and a bushing. The back I had to make a scope ring to clamp the back in place. It's machined aluminum painted black. There is just enough room to slide the scope on and off its rail without having to remove the scope from the mount.
