The vise swivels 360° on its mounting post and has jaw faces that can pivot independently to grip tapered work as firmly as square stock. Mounted in a through hole (minimum 11/16" in diameter), it clamps to any surface up to 5" thick. The 4 7/8" wide hardwood jaw faces are lined with tough non-slip urethane. Made of cast iron with steel components, the vise weighs just under 30 lb with a maximum opening of 5 7/8".
