I have a fairly worn Lee-enfield in .303 British. I'm hoping to trade it for a Russian or Chinese SKS, or something in 6.5 (though these are far more expensive and I doubt it will happen.) All the wood is near undamaged, bit the bolt, barrel, and other metal parts are scraped and worn from use. 4 ish boxes of ammo included. Trades are preferable, but it can be purchased. For formality: PAL required on trade, even though you already owning a firearm implies one.

This is a 1940 Ishapore made No 1 MK111 ( not a MK111*) with mag cutoff and period correct RFI stamped bayonet. The hardware and wood set is good to excellent condition ( for an 84 year old rifle) and as far as I can tell, completely original from the factory. Bolt, receiver, Barrel, rear sight and nose cap are all matching numbers. The magazine isn't matching numbers but is RFI stamped. The bayonet is the short 12 inch "Indian Pattern" which I believe is a 1943 made bayonet. There are some visible repairs to the butt stock, maybe field repairs or post military use - I don't know. I can't make out the markings on the underside of the butt stock but it doesn't appear to be English or Latin script, possibly Punjabi, Bengali or Burmese. The barrel is probably nearing the end of it's life but I have taken this rifle to the range numerous times and it shoots fine with pretty good accuracy at 100 yards. I didn't really want to sell this one as it's a great historical piece, but I need to reduce the amount of Rifles and spare parts I have. I have a Lee Enfield #4 Mark 1 1942 Longbranch .303 British WW2 battle rifle with all matching numbers including bolt stock and reciever!. With a LB spike bayonet 1-10 round magazine and a original sling for sale. Not sporterized and not refurbished!, original WW2 configuration purchased from a seller in Quebec asking $2500 o.b.o. located in Windsor Ontario Canada. And yes it is still a tack driver!. As far as I know everything that I bought is all WW2 parts that came with this rifle and was issued, this thing was there!, where I don't know!. WW2 Canadian history!, unfortunately the Veteran/Hero who was issued this is unknown. I tried to get some info from the seller but to no avail he did not have any further information. Maybe the serial # might add some future light to this relic of a darker time in world history if researched further.
