WW2 Arisaka Carcano Type I Rifle Reduced
Hello I'm selling a Arisaka-Carcano Type I Rifle, it is Italian made for the Japanese Imperial Navy for WW2. This is a combination of the Carcano 1891 and a Type 38. It has the action and barrel of a Carcano and it is chambered in 6.5 Jap, has the 2 piece stock, 5 round internal magazine, and the sighting system of the early Type 38. The bolt and receiver has markings from Fabbrica Nazionale d'Armi - Brescia, this is the more uncommon version accounting for roughly only a quarter of production with total estimates from 60k-130k across all factories. Two types of Type I buttstocks were made, the short and long version and this rifle is the long buttstock version. The bolt on the Type I cannot be swapped with a Carcano and vice versa as the Type I bolt has a slightly different location cut for the ejector. The exterior metal has some surface wear and some light surface rust with the buttplate being the most worn. The internals and bore are in good condition with good rifling as shown in the images and the bullet test, the bullet I used was the 6.5 Jap Norma Factory ammo. It is missing the cleaning rod and ejector, luckily the ejector is readily avaliable in parts stores such as Numrich. The rifle has a hidden duffle cut under the front barrel band, the previous owner repaired the duffle cut by putting a small wooden dowel in the cleaning rod hole and glueing the 2 pieces together. The glue has come loose and would need to be re-glued. The rifle shoots well using 0.264 Speer bullet handloads at 25M with all the shots landing well without any keyholeing. If you have any questions or request more pictures let me know and and I would be happy to help. Can meetup in the GTA for local sales. $1350 plus shipping, thank you for looking.

DETAILS MDT AICS-pattern metal magazines are manufactured from high strength steel, nitrided, and finished inside and outside with Cerakote Elite for ultimate durability, corrosion resistance, and friction reduction. SPECIFICATIONS * 3.055” Outside Length * 2.870” max cartridge overall length (COAL) with binder plate * 2.960” max cartridge overall length (COAL) without binder plate (see limitations below) * 4.61” Rear Height COMPATIBILITY These magazines will need to be slightly modified to function with Howa 1500 SA rifles. * 308WIN * 6mm Creedmoor * 243WIN * 260 Rem * 6.5 Creedmoor * 7mm-08 Win * 308/7.62x51 NATO * 22 - 250 Rem (will work at a reduced capacity) BINDER PLATE DETAILS * The magazines with front binder plates are compatible with all rifles equipped with AICS-pattern bottom metal or chassis systems. The binder plate holds the cartridges back from the front of the magazines and guides them past the bottom of the feed ramp. The maximum cartridge overall length (COAL) that will fit in this magazine is 2.870”. * The magazines without front binder plates allow a maximum cartridge overall length of 2.960”. These are compatible with all AICS-pattern bottom metal and chassis systems, but most common actions such as Remington 700 and Savage 10/11 will require modifications to the receiver (i.e. notching out the bottom of the feed ramp) to prevent the bullet tips from catching on the bottom of the feed ramp (see photo below).
