QC Inspector - Grande PrairieKey position functions include:
-Dismantle and prepare equipment for repair and inspection
-Conduct dimensional inspections on products
-Complete all reporting and documentation as required
-Advise on and assist in creation of NCIR’s for products and equipment
-Perform hardness testing as required
-Advise Engineering/Production of any missing requirements or issues with repairs (missing specifications, inaccurate descriptions, etc)
-Review and approve equipment for final inspection
-Inform Supervisor/Management of any irregularities with equipment
-Correct equipment deficiencies within allowable tolerance using pneumatic and hand tooling as required
-Organize and directly support farm-out inventory
-Afterhours availability when required
-Perform other related duties as assigned
Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:
-High School Diploma
-Machine Shop Inspection Training / experience required (minimum 1 year) – dimensional inspection, hardness testing, understanding of technical drawings
-Understanding of basic trigonometry
-A basic understanding of hand and power tool functionality
-Experience with wellhead and valve equipment an asset
-Strong mechanical aptitude, a good work ethic and willingness to learn
-Forklift experience an asset
-Experience with wellhead and valve equipment an asset
-Effective communication (oral and written), organizational and time management skills
-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and maintain deadlines
-Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-Knowledge of ERP software such as SAP an asset
-Strong commitment to workplace safety
