Winchester Model 1894 38-55, Ref #1040 Winchester lever action, sporting rifle, octagon barrel, full length magazine. Dated app. 1895. Comes with Winchester letter. Barrel is 26” long with sights intact. Bore shows black powder use. Bluing throughout at about 50%. Screws have seen use. Functionally everything seems very good, follower works, saety is good, hammer drops when trigger pulled. Issues:  Tang has been repaired and there is no firing pin, forend has a crack in it.  Only reasonable offers will be considered. For Sale: Chiappa lever action 1892  in 44 MAG I’m the second owner of this rifle. Took it out to the range a couple of times at 100m—runs smooth, cycles clean, no issues at all. The first owner had it painted and mentioned these ones are pretty rare in Canada, holding 9 rounds instead of the usual 8 in the Trapper model. It also has a saddle ring, which is a nice touch on a ranch-style gun. It’s surplus to my needs now. Open to trades for a good mid- to long-range hunting rifle—something practical for real field use. 16 oz. reloading room/range accessory, which keeps your coffee hot or " other beverage " cold while you are reloading or at the range ..... bought a few of these at a gun show in Denver in the year 2000 but this one was never used, so is in excellent condition. If you have your own pictures, you can unscrew the bottom, remove the photo sheet as a template and replace it with your own pictures. I'm not sure who made it, but the bottom is marked patent pending and matches some of my early Starbucks bottoms that were ( and still are ) all made in China----BOTTOM MARKED " do not microwave" and " hand wash only" also like the Starbucks tumblers and in the same script.
